I paid for the nightfall event in vanilla Destiny, I paid for both dlc and the strikes that came with them, what exactly would they be giving me? I've paid everything up to this point.

Yes, keyword "event". You can still play any and all of those strikes, raids, POE ect. The content is still there. You just can't participate in a weekly challenge (event) because you won't meet the level requirement. So here's my question; do you want them to allow you to level up and play the nightfall and award you new year 2 gear that you have not paid for or have a legacy 32 nightfall that would award the same old stuff that, if you're like me, you already have?

That's fine, a legacy nightfall sounds good and it can be for everyone. You buyers can double dip on xp while the rest of us can just enjoy what we paid for. I have everything so the rewards are meaningless.
