Dear Bungie Support:
I write from Chile to report that it has been more than 24 hours of the launch of Destiny patch and many users are having problems to update. Consoles Sony Play Station 3 logs the following error code 800233EF. There are cases that are interrupted downloads and have to restart the process while in others the download even starts.
Affected users have contacted their respective ISPs (VTR, Movistar) and the answer given is that both Bungie-Activision and Sony-PSN are responsible. The truth is, or do not know the cause of this problem. I am actively playing a Guardian and I fear that this harm me and many other guardians who are in the same situation as me.
We just want to enjoy the experience of Year 2, contribute to further growth of the game and participate in the adventures offered by the next DLC.
I expect a prompt response.

Well guys here will be the continuation of this situation. The issue will continue in Sony- PSN. I hope to have an answer soon. 5 RepliesCabros que tienen VTR. Que modem de los que pasa VTR tienen? Yo tengo el arris cuadrado que ponen con el famoso 5G. Mi primo tiene vtr y usa router propio y pudo bajar el parche, y un amigo tiene VTR igual y pudo bajar el parche y tiene un Modem Thomson. Seria raro, pero el problema puede ser el modem...

I've seen others complain about this error code when downloading or updating other games. It is a PSN error code, but I do not know the source of it. I would suggest contacting Sony's PS support.

I've tried everything I learned in my networking career, looked for tutorials, etc. But it seems to be only a Destiny's update server problem, because my other games actually finish the update process without having the nightmarish 800233ef error code... Hope we can update it sooner as posible, there's been more than 24 hours trying to solve this, and there's a lot of people having the same issue. Come on, Bungie team, I know it always can be a little difficult, but I trust you! You can do this and make us happy! :D Brunattos

I have errored out 7 times and wasted 3 days of potential gaming not to mention the I was being a Internet hog in my household. Im about over it!
