Here's what I did First enter a nightfall strike solo, ignore the strike and instead go back to the area on the moon where you spawn in patrol, build up your super and kill the two Knights that spawn right outside the temple of Crota or go to the building in the back and kill the major that spawns and his buddies. Either one will net 7 orbs. Rinse and repeat, once you've got three go back to he start of the strike and find 2 more people to play with you and finish the strike like normal.
