How to complete the final step in the Path of the Striker Quest - Zavala’s Challenge.. or Step 8.
Basically you need to generate 7 orbs of light, 3 different times using the Fist of Havoc during the same strike. Not going to lie, it’s a bit of a pain. But here is how I did it.
1. Select the Will of Crota strike on Earth.
2. Have Bad Juju and Helm of Saint-14 equipped (or any helmet with the perk for gaining super energy by killing minions). This allows you to get your super quickly.
3. Right when you spawn, get on your sparrow and haul a$$ to the first encounter! Try to get there before your fireteam. This allows you to kill as many enemies as possible to gain super energy right away.
4. Once you are supercharged, head over to the spawn where numerous stealth/invisible vandals appear on the right side doorway and drop your Fist of Havoc. This should be a guaranteed 7 orbs with all of the stealth vandals and major vandals in the area.
5. After you get 1/3 complete, look around the room to collect any possible orbs that your fireteam has created. If they haven’t created orbs, keep killing with your bad Juju to get your super ready for part 2/3.
6. For 2/3, you will be using your Fist of Havoc on the mass number of fallen walking down the stairs that separate you from the next encounter. Just wait for the laser beams to deactivate and drop your Fist of Havoc. Boom! Guaranteed 7 orbs.
7. For 3/3, enter the next encounter outside and kill everything you see with your bad Juju. BE PATIENT, and wait for the second Fallen Sciff to arrive.
8. When the second Fallen Sciff arrives, drop your Fist of Havoc just as the enemies are landing. You should be able to get 7 orbs with ease.
Those are all of the tips I have. Hopefully this helps some fellow Titans on completing this frustrating part of the Quest. Feel free to watch the video above on how I completed this. I ended up doing 4 sequences where I generated 7 orbs during this run. The Omnigul strike is definitely the way to go!
Enjoy!
P.S - don't quit out once you get all 3. You still need to complete the strike to compete the Quest.

1 ReplyGreat technique but I used GIFT OF THE VOID and completed it in one shot.

1 ReplyI try will of crota but always comes short, on the other hand first try on undying mind and done, tip, focus on te stair encounter, lots of yellow bar enemies

Thanx for the strat met challenge 1x thru. u rock mos def :)

3 RepliesOr you can do this much simpler guaranteed method. Start Will of Crota. Travel back to the start area of the Cosmadrone patrol mission placement. Kill the three hive majors below the patrol area three times. Every time you kill all three it generates 7 orbs. Join back up with your fire team then finish the strike. The end.

damn dude nice video. thanks for the guide.

Bumping for any latecomers to this quest - this is indeed a good way to do it. Bad Juju is excellent here - a Year One version took me through nicely. I messed up my opportunity on the Fallen skiff that is mentioned, but kept trying during the Omnigul fight - finally managed to get a good cluster of Knights, Thralls and Acolytes. Phew! Still, got it on first run and had a blast!

4 RepliesI have completed it on The Undying Mind strike. The boss fight arena is the best place to score 7 orbs where you have loads of shielded and yellow bar enemies, which gives more orbs per kill. Also, I think they capped the max orb generated to 8 per super use. Correct me if I'm wrong. If you have a defender titan in your team, your fist of havoc won't kill the enemies inside the bubble, they have fixed it in patch 2.0. Cheers!

Just go to the starting area and kill the hive in the subway tunnel, with Saint 14 and bad juju you can do it real fast.
-
4 RepliesOR! Do the undying mind strike, did mine in 3 nova bombs.. (Different super I know)
-
Undying mind is also good put all three characters through that one for all quest

Bungie couldn't wait to install something to make people play like idiots. So now as you're heading into strikes with your Destinylfg.com team, your "team" will be running around doing stupid stuff to complete these quests rather than the mission. "Hey where'd that Striker go? Oh he went all the way over to the Cosmodrone basement; he'll be back maybe..." "Be right there, folks. Let me put away my Ruin Wings (who needs heavy ammo anyway) and pull my Crest of Alpha Lupi out of the vault". At least the Defender one made sense.

2 RepliesThat's step 6 dummy, step seven is ward your team with weapons of light...lol
-
Easiest way is to get 7 Orbs is to run it in a team in the strike The Undying Mind, kill the yellow bar enemies (just leave one yellow bar enemy alive) then everyone in the fire-team wipes and repeat the process. This will not reset your quest only if you go back to orbit.

1 ReplyEdited by Liberty WaIk: 9/9/2015 9:17:13 AMSun singer warlock quest is easy. Just solo the nightfall and you finish generating 20 orbs and complete strike. I am going to rehash for Titan.
