Bungie, you ruined class items
The one cosmetic item that most people care about (especially hunters), and you tie light into them.
Now I'm forced to use a cloak I don't like as much aesthetically just to have a decent light level.
The one week pledge to a faction is awesome and frees us to use any class item we want now, but attaching light to those items now negates that feature.

If you find a cloak you like just infuse it. I have been using and infusing my Sunbreaker's Mark ever since I got it and it is now 299. Stop complaining now, k?

2 RepliesAttaching a Light value to Class Items just about completely undoes every good notion Bungie had with making Faction allegiance independent of Class Items. Same thing with Ghost Shells. We finally *-blam!-ing finally* get some Ghost Shells, and they contribute to Light level. I was so excited to read that they were doing away with Light Level until I... read on and saw it was no, not really. Artifacts locked at 40 was also pretty bone-headed. Overall, I was really looking forward to Class Items that I'd pick for appearance and maybe some special bonus effects, but nope - they've just put us under the thumb of Light Level in a new, stupid way.

Dread's Enmity has 3 defense, where the faction bonds have 140. What the hell. I wish I could keep my hunter scarves. I've been saving all class items from vanilla and each dlc... So much for being a collector...

Like honestly, what the actual hell The cloak i used the most was that awesome poofy PoE 32 cloak (the red one with the black feathers). It has a defense level of THREE. Compared to green class items that have probably at least 100. Wtf. I liked using the starting cloak (hoodless + scarfless) and that's 3 too. Now I'm stuck with using some stupid blue class item that looks dumb. It's not balanced well either; my warlock's legendary bond has less defense than a blue. Bungie needs to remove this because it's complete bs. It's like, the one customization for looks other than shaders and they screwed it over.

8 RepliesThis is maybe the one legit complaint i have seen regarding the patch. I was excited to use my iron banner class items now that the class items are not needed for rep. Only to find out i still can not use them. They have crap for defense on them. This was a strange move imo.

I don't like the ghost or class item stats either. Both of those feel like they are cosmetic items, not armor items.
