Are you sure it wasn't the Legendary Edition? That's $59.99 and the Collectors Edition is $79.99.

it then asked me to confirm the purchase and it was $59.99.

when you go to the taken king inside the director and select it, it gives you 3 options at the bottom: Redeem Code, Purchase, and Purchase. I selected the last, or 3rd, choice which was purchase the collectors edition.

I selected the same thing, and I got the Taken King Collector's Edition upgrade - though I got the items that were advertised.
