UPDATE: Called my ISP, worked through their troubleshooting/reset steps on the phone and zero fix. They report nothing wrong on their end or my end for that matter - my internet is fast as hell and otherwise uninterrupted. I can still play any and all PC games and other PS4 games online even with Pandora/Spotify and so forth and zero lag or disconnection networking issues. I reinstalled the game and reset my console - nothing.
Just streamed tonight for a little bit and got four Weasel errors back to back in the span of 10 minutes. Once during a Mayhem Clash match, then in orbit, then in the tower, then in the tower again.
Bungie, I have no -blam!-ING idea what's causing this issue and I have the distinct feeling you don't have a -blam!-ing clue either. As of right now, thanks for nothing. Thanks for ignoring messages I've sent through every single avenue you've offered. Shit even if I were to just drive my happy ass over to your offices you're all too busy promoting The Taken King across the country. Happy trails.

So been tweeting on the regular to Bungiehelp recently, no reply but you guys are busy as hell.
Before the past two months I got a weasel or baboon error MAYBE once a month. Now? At least two to three a day. I never lose internet connection, never lose connection with PSN or my PSN party. My stream (from the PS4) never skips a beat. Green bars all around during crucible. Router is the same as well as the ISP.
Nothing has changed on my end at all and yet now suddenly I can't commit to playing for more than a few moments without getting "contacting destiny servers" blinking on my screen and it never recovers. Once I see that I get up and use the bathroom or get a drink because it'll be a while before I get to restart my game/relogin.
I can use supers, fire weapons, kill enemies when this message is on my screen - but I can't move gear or change my equipment.
So what do I do? Is there anything I CAN do?

I know your pain since the last update nothing but baboon and weasel errors. My internet is perfect and I have every port open for this game and a static ip. Bungie please fix your servers.

5 RepliesI constantly get kicked with the "BABOON" error and then when I'm put back into the game all my character's "Special" and "Heavy" ammo has gone.

Edited by HappyPappy13: 9/15/2015 1:47:16 AMAre you on WiFi? Once I switched to LAN, not a single error and its been a few months now. Packet loss was the primary suspect for me. Edit 1: read down and saw youre wired. Have you opened your ports to let destiny guzzle your connection? You should run some diagnostics to see what's getting through.

1 ReplyI remember when the game first came out, it was flawless I never got kicked or dc'd until after there first update, and now it's like my Xbox has herpes, I always get weasel code and it's always random, it will happen every 10 mins or every 2 mins, I thought by now with however many reports have been filed with this error code, amungst many other codes and a year to work on these they would have there cap together, all the other game developers have no issues fixing there disconnects why is bungie delaying on this, this sort of issues are borderline game breaking as many are forced to stop playing and give up. I hope they fix these issues soon, or they will have tons or returns on there taken king edition.

I am having the same issue. I have hundreds of hours in destiny and have not had any issues like this until patch 2.0 came out. baboon and weasels all the time making the game almost completely unplayable

I haven't had hardly any problems playing until 2.0 and now I get weasel and babooned every five minutes. Every thing else works fine, streaming video, music, surfing. I have it wired, so it isn't wify, and now I have it directly in the modem, no router at all and I'm still getting errors only on Destiny. About to throw it out.

Now I can't play for more than 10 minutes with out a dc. I have the contacting destiny servers on the screen nearly the entire time while I'm able to play. A guy recommended turning the router off on the combo and plugging a alternate router to it so I tried this. Same issues. It has to be on bungies end because nothing has changed on my end to cause this.

hey i need help i have just bough the game and havent been able to play for 4 days now. i have bought the game before got to lvl 29 when the game first game out!!!! i sold my xbox and bought the game digital for the second time since i sold the disc now im getting a forever weasel error so i did some research and i forwarded ports restarted xbox one several times restarted modem restart and unplugged xbox i did it all anything u can thing of trouble shooting still same error I DONT WANT A REFUND I WANT TO PLAY THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
