Why does Bungie hate Titans?
Seriously though, the Titan striker melee needs to be buffed.

4 RepliesHere is the thing, the classes are not balanced. Nothing like they should be. As a warlock I can out survive my hunter or titan, I can out damage them, and if push comes to shove, I can out damage them (Super and Grenades). The classes should be different and not just asthetics or specials. Like this: Warlock: Powerful Super, powerful grenade with an "oh shit" melee. Lower armor, easier to kill (in PvE). Titans: Close quarters powerful melee, close quarters special, high armor HARD to kill. Hunters: Average all around, agility so faster, can cause good damage and take good damage. The issue with this game is it started out as an MMORPG, and I'm sure the classes were gonna be like what I stated, but when Activision got involved and wanted it to be more PvP the classes got Jumbled. But from what I've seen with the Solar Titan, it looks like they are getting a great Super.... till PvP complainers cry NERF.....

Morning Guardian, You know I've seen a lot of posts garnering Titan hate, I guess because warlocks have a cool melee force blast, and hunters can casually toss a knife down your throat? That's probably why. But, not only do Titans have shoulder charge? Which is downright dangerous, their punch is just fine, and one of them gives you an overshield. And are you about to get me started on the new subclass? Ranged...it has a shoulder charge, you can defend a position in crucible...and you can slag an enemy like in Borderlands and make every shot a precision, EVERY SINGLE ONE! Making it clutch in PvE, yet, somehow, Bungie actually HATES Titans? I usually don't post confrontational stuff, but you may be slightly misinformed. Titans are equally as badass as any other type of guardian if you want it to be, they've all got their advantages and disadvantages, and I feel like you know that. Have a nice morning! SA

They don't. Only disadvantage a titan has is no blink. Other than that they're outstanding in Pvp and PvE.

Warlocks Hunters Titans That's the order of how good they are. Titans by far are the MOST underpowered. Oh Shouldercharge...-blam!- all you little bitches that use shotguns built for range. Makes it almost impossible to shoulder charge effectivel. Oh the lighting grenade?....4 bursts and it's done. Easiest to see on a wall just shoot the damn thing. And the coup de gras of it. Fist of Havoc. All you people whining about it....Unstoppable is NOT a bad thing. Fist of Havoc is supposed to be used for MULTIPLE kills the people panicking are just misusing it. Think about it. If you're killing multiple people unstoppable is needed because 2-6 people shooting at you.....it's fair. Hunters and Warlocks have blink and it's the FASTEST way to get around. Titans can't close the distance fast enough.

4 RepliesFor all of you saying shoulder charge is op, let me illustrate to you what shoulder charge really is, think of a fusion rifle, standard charge and everything. Now imagine that you have to be running to charge it, so still can't do anything else, but now you have to be running too. Now cube the charge rate. Now the fusion rifle only works if you're within a few meters of another guardian. That's shoulder charge.

Purely melee though. The fact that everyone thinks a different class is too bad or op is a testament to how well balanced they are.

1 ReplyLore wise, titans don't affiliate themselves with hunters or warlocks. That is why their skill set has nothing in common with the other two. No other class has anything similar to shoulder charge or the bubble. But they don't take initiative to steal blink either.

Generally I agree, the melee could use some better lunge distance, especially to compete with the coddled warlocks that have felwinter's melee. Thankfully Titans are getting some amazing exotic armor this time around as as a hunter I'm pretty jealous because we get "improved skip grenade" and another lackluster ATS. Shoulder charging to close in on enemies, not necessarily kill them, works pretty well as a blink replacement and sprint+jump+shoulder charge+FoH is working out quite nicely for the super. Basically if you play a Titan as a Hunter, a Hunter as a Warlock, and a Warlock as a Titan you'll have some great success.
