Tomorrow is the start of year 2 (well technically it's a day before year 2 starts but whatever). It's been quite the journey for us beta/day 1 players.
We are the ones who have set the foundation for this game. We are the first players in Bungie's new world, and without us this game would be nothing.
New players will never understand the tedious effort of farming materials on planets and developing your own routes to get them. They will learn of the loot cave, but they will never know what it was like to be there. They will never play the story like we did. They will only hear Dinklebot on YouTube - Never in game. They will never be able to experience treasure key farming at its finest.
These are the memories we hold dear to us that future players will never be able to. Ever.
On a final note... It has been a pleasure to play this game alongside each of you, Xbox or PlayStation. In the end, we are all the same.
While this isn't the start of our journey, this is the beginning of a new one.
Be brave, Guardians. See you in Year Two!

If you ask a year two player they will say who the hell is dinklebot you fgt. But, if you ask a year one player they will say he is a legend. Good bye sweet prince.

3 RepliesWhat story are you referring to that you think us Year One players played? Curious. Yes I will miss grinding planetary materials about as much as a urinary tract infection. Oh, how I will never think back on it. Hold dear memories? Are you high? The ONLY good memory that comes with no frustration was the Loot Cave. That forged times that I have never since had on this game. There is a lesson for Bungie in there, somewhere....something about designing something that many players can come together to enjoy.... They missed it, and continue missing it, and probably will never capture the accidental magic that was El Cave De Loot.
