Lil Poison + Mature Rating = Good?

Why is Bungie supporting underaged gamers? I'm 18, I play on Live, I'm soooo sick of screaming and cursing little preteens playing with me and YOU SUPPORT IT! Am I the only one who thinks this is wrong? The kid's 7 years old, he shouldn't be playing it for 10 more years!

 • Lol this is hilarious. Lil Poison can do what he wants to with his life. I bet I can own him but my parents won't let me get live. They probably won't let me play in any tournies either. You know, not all teenagers are bad though. C'mon that is the most biased thing anybody could ever say. LOL. Lil Poison will probably tone down on playing Halo when he's older dudes. You actually get homework in Junior High!!!!!!!!!

 •
Posted by: camel killer He played in Tournies when he was 4, he's used to it OK
Are you trying to say that like it's a good thing?

 • People have been ignoring the ESRB ratings for years. Just like the Parental Advisory sticker on music.

 • Hmm. Hellcrone, you stated that he should be out 'experiencing life, building tree forts, making friends.' Well, for one thing, he has a looooad of friends man. Also, he wins tourneys alot, bringing in money/fame, he's winning money at the age of 7? Woot, congratulations LiL Poison. Meh, building tree forts is fu'cking boring, too. Halo 2/xbox live is very very fun and enjoyable. I think i've finally understood the meaning of life.. ''Enjoy it while you can.''

 • I don't mind singing from little 9 year olds, as long as they don't finish the game with 0 kills and 36 deaths. I have a few young players on my list, who are about my skill level, and say very mature things (they don't talk trash or anything like that) but they have very squeeky voices, which I don't really mind. What I really hate is voice masking. Bungie should change what it sounds like somehow, because that retarded sound makes me turn slightly suicidal. I always tell the loser who turned it on to turn it off or he/she is booted, and if I am not party leader, I leave. I don't care if he was a legit 50.

 • What kind parent has their kid playing at the age of 4????? Don't they know this kind of stuff will be imprinted in the kid's mind for life??? They think they're making their kid happy but their only hurting him. He might not have a single friend because of thiss....he could be the next serial murder...this is why parents have to know what's good for their kid and what's not...for all we know Halo 2 is like drugs to him, he can't live without it!!! Sponsoring him makes it worse because it makes him think that if he gets paid its ok. I think the parents don't care just as long as they can use the money their kid gets from sponsored videogaming. Also, Bungie aren't the ones supporting this, some tournament people are.

 •
Posted by: bboiweapon The ESRB could Potentially take some serios action with Bungie for openly supporting an Underage gamer playing Halo 2. This could come back to bite Bungie in the back side Plus I am just personally offened at a 7 Year Old Professional gamer its an insult to the word Professional Plus that a kid is getting Paid and sponsored for playing a video game just makes me angry I will be giving the ESRB a nice little phone call and angry e-mail from several Parent Groups who are against video game violence. The Association of Good Parenting will be speaking to Bungie very soon Senator Lieberman this one a case for you to put your foot down.
I hate those parent groups but in the most part I agree with you. WTF is a 7 year old doing on live. It's not a 'G' enviorment. Most depressing is the picture of him with a cowboy hat going "who's your daddy". I am not conservative but I think that there needs to be a little more thinking going into it. [Edited on 5/7/2005]

 • Before saying Bungie supports little children playing violent games: Look at who wrote the news item, and look at who approved it. Before -blam!-in about Bungie supporting little children playing violent videogames: just because a game is rated M for mature, doesn't mean little children can't play it. It's an advice, not a rule or law. if it was, than 99,9% of the people down here are not allowed to play the game. the decision is in the hands of the parents. And when i say M for mature, i'm not talking about age.

 • I'm 12 but I'm mature enough to not complain about something like , "you took my weapon !" I can't help it if my voice isn't as deep as a 24 year old's is but when I turn on voice masking It's even worse ! My voice is not as annoying as it is on XBL for some reason unbeknownst to me the voices become higher-pitched . You've all heard those people with a twain accent on XBL ? Yeah it sounds wierd . Sometimes my friend's voice gets chimed up 20 decobels .

 • I am been playing since november and more and more little kids (I am 13) are cheating, whinning, crying, quiting, standbying and betraying. My solution is quit if it bothers you no matter ranked or not and find a group of people that you can hang out with. With the babys on you buddy list, delete all the ones who cry

 • I recently had a graded debate in history class about this. Me and my compatriots owned the opposition. We said that the companies were not responsible for it at all. We had tons of solid evidence that proved that parents were at fault. They should not allow/buy those games for children if they can't handle it maturely. Logic rules!

 • guys, I agree that he shouldn't be playing for a while but do you want bungie to not make halo because of 1 person, I mean come on...but bungie has to do something, like a letter or two or three,I'm in the middle of yes and no here...and I hate the stupid stereotype that 12-13 year olds are a nuisance...BTW I am 12 (well on sunday I am)

I'd rather he was playing outside, building tree-forts, making friends, experiencing life, rather than becoming a methodical killer. Kind of reminds me of Hitler youth. We're training you to be a machine, not to have a life. He'll look back on his life and see only video games. Not that my opinion will change anything, but at least it is out there.
Exactly what I was thinking. I hope your opinion DOES change something.

 • as long as they dont start singing when the game starts. or make wierd voices. Some preteens are just irratating.... but not all. i have played with a few that are actually mature. i dont think bungie is responsible for allowing underaged players. it is all up to the parents to do something.
