That's the definition of removing content and putting it behind a paywall.

Which I haven't disagreed with, I think it's completely right that Bungie stops people from being able to do the same things that I can when I've paid! Well done you've paid for the old content, but then if you go and buy Pokemon Black or White, can you do anything but the basic game? Nope, because newer versions have come out and they're not willing to allow people who don't update a free ride! That's just one example, there aren't many online games that do allow you to keep the old game completely intact and still interact with the players who have purchased the new content, but I just don't see how that is or could be a problem for anyone?

Edited by ArchangelLBC: 9/7/2015 1:27:45 AMWhen I buy pokemon, and then don't buy the next version, I don't lose my old ones. I don't lose old functionality. My most recent other online game was SWTOR. If you didn't buy the latest expansion, you didn't get to do the new stuff, but you could do literally all the old stuff. So yeah fair enough you don't understand. I don't understand how people can be ok with the removal of content already paid for. Call old nightfall classic nightfall and let it still be a thing. The new stuff should sell itself.

No, you can run around and play re-do the elite four, you can't go online and battle, you can't trade because eventually they want you to move on to the next gen, they'll let you keep the old boring parts of the game, but they take the good stuff! Most games do this eventually! The nightfall is one of the best things to do on Destiny, so it's only natural they're going to add exclusivity to it! You can do the strikes but you can't get an decent drop or have skulls or burns! You still have the strikes but you don't get the rewards, that's your argument really! You want the rewards, right? And The Old Republic (the worst successor to a genuinely great game series, KOTOR) had to be completely restructured because it failed, since they made if subscription-free, it became more popular but they HAD to take the paywall off because it didn't to as well as people thought it would, Destiny, is still the most popular game I know, every friend I have on Xbox, pretty much plays Destiny once a week lol clearly, not that many people have an issue with the reformatting of the nightfalls, or any other end game content!

Other games do it eh? So that makes it ok? It's still a pretty crappy thing to do and anyone who supports it is a pretty crappy human being. We didn't pay for a service. We paid for a game. If Bungie doesn't think the new stuff is worth the price of admission, they shouldn't sell it. But hey they're a business. Who cares about ethics right? You though? You're human garbage.
