I redeemed a code today mainly to hope I'm locked in for the timed exclusive quest, I don't really care for the Focused Light buff.
I only have to redeem one code to be locked in for the quest right?

Yes. You are correct. I would also assume I'd you are part of the group that has not received focused light you will still have access to the quest September 15th.
