I was thinking about it, and the Reef (as a social space) offers three unique things. Wolf bounties (Petra Venj), The House of Judgment (Variks), and the Trials of Osiris (Brother Vance). [spoiler]That's a lot of "V" names isn't it?[/spoiler] The Taken King will be removing the random Wolf encounters in Patrol, removes Variks from the PoE exotics quests, and removes the Trials of Osiris all together. This makes me think Bungie is going to remove the Reef social space come TKK (or maybe even the 8th!) because these changes render most of these unique vendors completely useless. Best buy up those ships, shaders, and ect before it's too late! Sorry if this has already been confirmed somewhere. I'm trying to censor myself a little bit to keep myself content-blind for TTK, so I may not be current as to all the latest news.
