Hey, it's me, Kohaku, the resident conspiracy theorist/ sleep deprived new dad. I'm still on paternity leave and in my bleary eyed travels I saw something peculiar and conspiratorial and definitely Illuminati-related. Tinfoil hats on! Here we go:
Look at the banner my sexy little kitten is sittin' under. What a weird image design, right? Oh, looks pretty normal to you, does it? WELL THINK , DAMMIT!! Why the hell would they create a shield with four quadrants when there are only three classes represented? ( warlocks in upper right, hunters in upper left, and Titan in lower right) I have a theory that there was supposed to be a fourth class. That's the only possible answer!!
What was the fourth class gonna be?!?!?? Come on Bungie I need to know!!! I LOVE PUNCTUATION!!!!?!?'"?!!;:!?!!
I haven't read my Grimoire, sorry. Maybe the answer is in there? Baby's crying, gotta run.

Edit: you gotta admit that Awoken Warlock of mine is smoking hot. My wife hates her so much.
Edit 2: we have some theories brewing. Was it supposed to be a TigerPerson? Holy crap, exotic tails and shit!!! Or was it gonna be John Cena?!! Double fists of havoc!!!!!!
Edit three: new theory the fourth class was my mom. She got nerfed, way too OP

2 RepliesEdited by BerserkOne: 9/5/2015 5:23:30 PMThere actually was an interview in which Smith (I think it was) talked about having four classes early on in the development cycle. They have ended up going with three because they couldn't make the fourth class in a way that felt distinct enough from the others. Edit: Found it. It's not Smith, it's Sage Merrill. Quote and link are below.
"In very early Destiny, we had four character classes we were trying to design around," says senior designer Sage Merrill. "But that fourth one just never fit so we cut down to three. When we made that cut everything sort of fell into place. It's not like anything wasn't working, it's just that when you start to slice up the total space for what a class does in a shooter environment, no matter where you put that fourth class it always sort of felt like it was encroaching on what the other classes did."

2 RepliesYou know a forth class is gunna happen, but that would be too much content if it was for vanilla so it was "scraped" aka set aside for dlc.

1 ReplyI think the 4th slot should be a playable Ally of the tower/guardians/awoken, that are NOT born of the light, but have skills in their own ways. For example, a skilled human warrior from the last city that has no Light based powers, but is fluent in advanced ground combat, maybe even with a sword...or a Vandal converted to House of Judgement looking to gain favor with the Queen. Or an Awoken Royal Guard person, with secret Awoken fighting secrets.

The fourth class leaked!

The speaker got his own club u know

I think 3 classes is enough. I can't imagine doing 4 weekly activities.

3 RepliesI petition to make the fourth class a playable Vandal.

2 RepliesTheir introducing it in year3 for only $20

You just realized this? There was never a 4th but probably will be in the future
-
Maybe just maybe some class we come across in future episodes... hmmm

5 RepliesI'm not sure about forth class, what it was but there is an interview were Bungie did state they had a Fourth Class, but got rid of it because it did not balance well with the game and three classes worked better.
http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2015/08/19/head-of-the-class-bungie-breaks-down-destinys-new-subclasses-and-abandoned-fourth-class.aspx "In very early Destiny, we had four character classes we were trying to design around," says senior designer Sage Merrill. Its the phantasm class. They were kicked out of the tower for tinkering with their ghosts turning them into cerebral bores. Deemed too horrible by the Geneva convention they were deported to the hades galaxy rumored to be plotting their revenge.
there were also known for chainsaw fighting.
Edited by D1ll0n_FST: 9/5/2015 2:05:11 PMWe will find out in year 6, expansion 11. Seriously, I believe it may have to do with who leads the tower. Which as of the moment no faction has control, it could also be reserved for a fourth class that will be added later like I stated.

Maybe a dragon human hybrid

Tigermen......

They claim overlapping powers but i say bs. Make Tigerman a healer and you have an entire new class that overlaps nothing
