Really a block on people leaving PVP needs to be in place, that or if you leave a PVP activity there is a cool down before you can return to PVP say until the end of the match you had joined. Simple way to resolve the issue to some degree.

I remember Tekken 6's online mode required you to wait 12 hours if you quit mid-match. I mean, a match only takes 2-5 minutes, but it's still not a bad idea.

Edited by monkyken: 9/4/2015 1:48:02 PMYeah, I certainly don't think it should be something like 12 hours, just until the end of the game you left, currently the problem fuels itself, someone leaves so there is a hole in a team, that team does even worse as its also a man down, someone enters that team goes screw this leaves and starts the find again, that first player will probably end up in a game that's already started and the issue grows. Simply putting a timeout of 5-10 minutes if you leave the activity will make this a lot less common. I know the new mercy rule is coming but this will make it harder for teams to get some of the medals, some require you to dominate or do really well.

I'm also worried about mercy rule for a different reason. Often enough, I make a comeback from about 10k behind and win the match. With the mercy rule, that won't be possible.

Yeah, that's another very valid point and I have seen this happen a few times. really just a slow down or block (basically a naughty step) for people who leave PVP and then attempt to rejoin because they didn't like the game they where put into needs to be in place, this way if you leave to go PvE or to join a friend you don't get any criticism but you cant just rejoin PVP over and over.
