I only read like half of it because it was too long lol but why is everyone getting worked up over like $40? Will that $40 get you similar hours of play time than buying a $40 game? Hell it'll probably get you more... But seriously it's $40 guys not something to get all twisted up over?

So let me get this straight; you're okay with paying $180 by the end of "year 1" to play one complete game? DLC shouldn't be the rest of the game, DLC should be additional content that adds upon the complete game. And you're ok with standing for that? The only reason it doesn't SEEM like a lot of money to you is because they're selling it bit by bit, in reality if you got the base game and all DLC you would have spent $180. Can you imagine if they did that up front? Would you pay $180 for Assasins Creed 4?

If you can't be bothered to read the post, we can't be bothered to care about your opinion.

(I read the rest of the post now) in the end it all comes down to value, if you will get the value you want it's worth it if not then don't get it. And I don't find it surprising that a company is supporting those that support it, it's a two way street. Though even if you don't like it then complaining is not going to affect the outcome like... at all, at best you get a few other people going "yeah that sucks" with you. And yeah I realise my post is kinda hypocritical when I say that so sorry about that.

Outside the US they have jacked up the price. In UK you can get AAA games for the same price. TTK DLC £39.99 Witcher 3 £40.00 MGS V £40.00 Until Dawn £38.65 Star Wars Battlefront £42.00 Those other games are all on disc including shipping. There can be no justification for the price of the DLC, so they refuse to talk to anyone or answer questions about it. Even if people can afford it, it doesn't mean they a willing to be ripped off.

It's a Bungie math problem for original year 1 players. Original game $50. TBD & HoW DLC $40 (I got a combo deal) TTK $40 = $130 total if you started last year. Newbies can get all of it for $70. So they get all the content for half the price. This highlights my grave concern that Destiny is NOT attracting NEW players. It feels like I am being penalized for playing the game early. How about TTK for $15 because you have all the other stuff? As Lana says.... NOOOOOOOPE! So I will wait for the reviews and see if its ok or just reskinned stuff.

Actually it's more then $40 for some. I never purchased The Dark Below so I can't play TTK unless I buy the legendary edition. That equates to me buy both the original and The House of Wolves content again.

For me, and many other guardians, the main problem is: Giving money to Bungie with all the problems listed above seems like saying that we support the way Bungie is going about things. While the cost is undoubtedly a factor, $40 isn't that expensive when you look at how much play time you get. Personally I have put more play time into Destiny than almost any other game. Most of that time has been enjoyable.
The only time I really don't like destiny is when I see all of the gear that becomes obsolete or unattainable every 3-4 months.
