If you are holding 10 5k bounties so you can power level to 40 on day 1, you better not come back to the forums and complain about finishing all the content as soon as possible. No one is going to feel sorry for you. ..
I know you will anyway...
Sincerely,
90% of day 1 players that remain silent in this forum and just enjoy the game.
Edit 1: Clarification on completed bounties would be good
Edit 2: This post is not saying that the act of doing this is wrong. This post is saying that people who do this shouldn't complain if they fly through content and have nothing to do by the end of the month.
Edit 3: I'm not saying that hoarding is wrong. I'm saying that it is going to create whiners.
Edit 4: 580 replies over night. ..

Don't have a single bounty on any characters. Dafuuk you talking about
-
Dude I'm only snatching up all the exotic bounties I can so I'll get a butt load of shards from dismantling them.
-
The y1 bounties get scrapped so you have to do it legit
-
Grinding for XP is not more content. "Power leveling" is unlocking end game content. It doesn't add or take content away. Simply makes it accessible.
-
Didnt the update say all year 1 bounties will be auto-aborted. You wont be able to stack up bounties for ttk.
-
Here is a question hopefully someone can answer, if I hold onto an elder cipher on a character and don't complete the requirements to obtain one of the exotic rewards will the elder cipher be deleted when the expansion releases?
-
Nah cause im only doing it on 1 character
-
More for the subclasses to be honest. That and factions. Leveling up will come, but need to get something for the new subclass.
-
Pfffft. 5k bounties? I have a 10k bounty! lol... I can turn it in at brother Vance when salad head isn't here...

Edited by Onua, Kell of Earth: 9/4/2015 3:50:27 AMDidn't Bungie say that all Year 1 bounties will be deleted come TTK? I'm pretty sure it said that in the Thupdate. edit: nevermind, it said incomplete bounties.
-
Damn thats a good idea! Ive been farming legendary engrams and keeping them in my vault to get a bunch of year two stuff on day one. It never occured to me to hold finished bounties. Thancks for the advice.
-
I'm just doing it to level the subclass
-
I'm going to do that for my Titan and maybe my hunter, since I won't be using them much while I max my warlock. That way by the time I get to them, I'll just have to worry about gear and story
-
Must level up!
-
I'm just doing it to test my new subclass to its max level asap
-
Agreed. It's also not about max level, it's about having the perfect and best gear
-
Bless this post. Your 2nd edit.....completely agree
-
I'll just re get them on the 8th and stockpile for the 15th!
-
I imagine the level won't matter as much as your light average, which will taking grinding for gear.
-
Bungie already announced that bounties that are not turned in before the update drops will be deleted.
-
Im sure anything that does not go in the vault will be reset.
-
So this is a preemptive complaint about people theoretically complaining at some point in the future Possibly

If you are lvl 34 when the TTK drops, I'm pretty sure that you will at least be 38 by the time that you finish all the new story missions (which will be required to do the raid) and the new strikes. Idk why ppl think that lvl 40 will be the finish line when Bungie themselves said that THE MAJORITY OF THE NEW END GAME CONTENT WILL BE AVAILABLE AFTER YOU HIT LVL 40. Another fun fact is that there could be a lvl 34 player doing more dmg to a lvl 34 enemy than a lvl 40 player solely because of their light lvl. Light lvl is the deciding factor in overall defense and attack values. Not core lvl.

Edited by Cap10Victory: 9/4/2015 2:46:33 AMI have always done that with bounties. It's end of the week fun... I'm not stock piling engrams and vanguard packages. It's not y2k it's just another dlc. Shoot the over soul!

Edited by Matthew_verdugo: 9/4/2015 2:30:13 AMI like how clearly your point was stated and how abhorrently so many people seemed to have missed it
