They can still finish the missions no problem... Or am I missing something?

There's a mission from the Queen to collect scrap or something like that from Wolves and Ether chests. I could be wrong, that it's not a requirement for the main story or thay regular fallen will do. But I can remember something about hunting Wolves from events, aside from the wanted bounties

You gotta collect 100 ship part things from vandals but that's about it for the mission part.

all the different wolf packs have G-cards associated with them... no wolves, no card unlocks
