Why does the invective not get much love?
Come on guys, invective is a great shotgun. Do you agree?
I tried to make this forum to see what people think of invective, not for people to argue about which shotgun is the best.

It'd wonderful. Can take down bladedancers and titans in their bubbles pretty easily. Only problem is it gets over shadowed by the powerful high impact shotguns like felwinter's and matador simply because the range is so much better.

I have a lot of fun playing with invective. I only really run with it on my titan though, particularly my defender. Like people have already said, there's just better exotics out there. So I really only use invective for things that are pretty casual.

Because other shotguns kill in one shot from farther away. If you come up against one with your invective your fast fire rate doesn't matter; you both fire one shot at the same time, they kill you in one hit and you don't kill them.

It needs a bigger mag and final round changed to shot package or something.

There are 3 exotics that I grinded so I could have one for each of my characters. Gjallarhorn, Icebreaker and Invective. It even has a slow ammo regen that helps when you are doing a mission with the juggler debuf.

It use to be a weapon the crybabies went after, that's what I remember from it.

I still use it on Crota's End to take down the swordbearer on Xbox. I would use Found Verdict, if I had it.

I love it. I still use it in pvp. Titan running shield invective and a good pulse rifle or dead shot Luna. I use it in pve too it's great I never have to worry about me not having ammo

I just prefer to use other weapons. It has great abilities but in pvp there are much better options like a sniper rifle.

Because it's been outclassed in both PvP and PvE. In the Crucible, it cannot compete with the high impact/long range shotguns that dominate PvP: Felwinter's Lie, Matador 64, and Partycrasher. In PvE, Its been supplanted by the ability to ascend Found Verdict, and new weapons like Dry Rot 32 (reforged to full-auto) and Lord of Wolves. Invective is a good weapon. But there are either better exotic shotgusn now....or legendaries that are either better or just as good.

1 ReplyIt use to be extremely over powered back in vanilla days. They nerfed it to oblivion though not saying it didn't need one but they over did it.

It's not bad, there are just better legendary shotguns and better options for your exotic choice.

I like it. Nice interchange with Icebreaker for when you're alternating between up close and personal and making sandwiches up the back.

7 RepliesThe perk that makes it exotic sucks. They nerfed the time it takes to get ammo but increased reload speed. It's 4 shots every 20 seconds I think it was nerfed to. Which doesn't help knowing that it wastes 4 shots very quickly. And if you die the timer resets.

It is my favorite shotgun for PVP, and a solid weapon all around. Lord of Wolves is just better for my PVE play style though.

It's kind of a peashooter in PvP compared to other shotties, unless you're really close.
