Energy Think of it like a sword with a magic spell to make it do arc damage but you need mana to power the magic or something like that
-
For PvP purposes.
-
Its like an energy sword. If you watched the stream, and i hope you did, you could see that the sword, not the hilt, disappeared when it ran out of ammo/energy.
-
Batteries don't last forever and rechargeables are expensive.
-
You have to power it up!
-
Because weapon balancing, that's why
-
And it's a space sword
-
-
It needs a charge; energy or power. That is what the heavy does - powers it.

The ammo is energy.

Edited by Whoppenheimer: 9/3/2015 3:25:22 AMTsk Tsk another players that haven't played Halo
-
I used to play halo and wished it didn't have ammo lol
-
Energy swords have an obvious reason for ammo, this sword doesn't.
-
It uses energy
-
U no see the energy though!
-
Are you mentally retarded?
-
When I need to be.
-
Did no one here play Halo? Energy Sword had "ammo".
-
You didn't play it either then because it did not have "AMMO" it had energy if it "HAD" ammo you would be able to pick it from the map to recharge the sword which was not the case.
-
OK well obviously yeah you could not pick anything up to recharge it. I simply meant that it had only so much of a charge, and could not just be used indefinitely. OP said since its a sword why does it need ammo/energy to be used, i was simply making a comparison. Trust me, I played ALOT of Halo. I believe Bungie.net still has archives of Halo 3 games even.

Edited by Bricker724: 9/3/2015 5:47:18 AMIt would make more sense if it was something like an energy pack or whatnot, so I can see why they would question the whole ammo thing.
-
Cause if it didnt need it bungie knows nobody would use anything but it lmao i know i wouldnt
