How mean were your bullies?
I have had trouble with bullies since Kindergarden. No joke. One kid took my glasses off of my face and broke them in front of me. His name was Keith.
I was just curious about what your experiences with bullies have been? Ever stood up to one them? I know I would have had an easier time growing if I would have done that. In high school, there were four girls who harassed me constantly. They made me cry and so angry at times that I would question myself and why they'd do that. What did I do to them? Nothing but they still harassed me. Every day. For four years. Did I stand up to them? No. Why? Because I'm tiny, had no self defense training and they most likely would have kicked my ass. Sometimes it's better to walk away.
But enough of my rant! Let's hear your stories.
Edit: I never fought back. Why? Because it was hard for me, mainly because I've always been small and there were four of them and one of me. -shrugs- I grew from it and now I don't take crap from anyone. (:
Edit 2: I've read some amazing stories, whether you stood up to them, were bullied for reasons out of your control, or were the bully - know that you are loved. It may not seem like it, but you are. There is always someone out there who cares. Everyone here deserves a hug. So -hug-

1 ReplyI was bullied for about two years. It ended when I verbally murdered him in front of the whole class. I told him to stop. He didn't. I told him to stop again. He didn't. Then he called me a "Gay Bitch-Ass [b]F[/b]aggot". A bit redundant and ignorant in my opinion. I don't remember what I said to him. I was too tired of life to think about what came out of my mouth. One day in 5th grade my bully kicked me in the balls and I just lost it like I didn't even feel it after about 3 seconds and I just unleashed all my rage on him (I broke his nose)

2 RepliesMean enough to drive so many others like myself to be suicidal. Some were either chased out of my small town, bullied until they moved away, jumped, others like me just watched it all happen around me and I just picked the peaceful way out. But one hospital in my city tried drugging me with brain frying chemicals and now I have Parkinson's and my Huntington's symptoms have been significantly worsened.

I am the most intimdating person in my class. No bully problems for me. Whenever I see one of the typical bullys walk near my friends because most of my friends are pipsqieks, I go over to that friend to "talk" to them. The bullies back off.

Well one time three people thronged me with knifes unlucky I had a chain in my pocket [spoiler]they woke up in the hospital [/spoiler]

We never had much of a problem with them when I grew up. At school we had to "put on the gloves" when problems came up or our principal introduced our butts to the "board of education" ( a wooden paddle). Most parents could and would jump in to stop the nonsense also.

My first experience was one in elementary school. A kid in my grade who was a lot taller than me had me in the corner of the playground and was making fun of me. So what did I do? I punched him right in the nuts and kneed him in the stomach. Bullying problem solved from 3rd grade to 8th grade. In 9th grade, a girl I had a crush on made fun of me and I couldn't bring myself to say anything mean back. Once I hit sophomore year, nobody really bullied each other because everyone was so busy doing schoolwork.

To be honest I was never really bullied mostly for the fact that I was never really well known or popular apart from a single moment in sophomore year of high school. But as a young adult looking back on my childhood and adolescence, if there was one thing I could change I think it is that I would have been more courageous. And it is what I would advise other fellows who are being bullied. Stand up to your bullies. Fight them. Embarrass them. Don't think about the temporary repercussions because once you reach 18, start college, and move on in life, you will get a huge "reset" and those experiences will not affect you anymore. You'll look back like me wishing that you had done something.

I was that guy who always had connections and hookups, I was friends with most of the hottest chicks in my school so they came to me for info on a guy in my school. So most people tried to stay on my good side. Even off my radar

Never been bullied my entire life mainly because I was always bigger than everyone (6'5) and played sports my entire life. But I do not deal with bullying at all, if I see someone being taken advantage of I will without question step in and deal with it!

Had 3 kids bully me in high school gym. Made fun of my weight, music tastes, all in all not that bad. But this went on for months. I told the teacher and the vice principal but they never stopped. So one day I just snapped. I saw red if you will. I slipped my locker lock around my middle finger like a single brass knuckle. I found the leader of the morons and got his attention. Called him out for being a little bitch that will only say something when he has his 2 friends to back him up. I swung and connected on the left side of his face. His other 2 buddies jumped me from behind and dropped me to my knees. I grabbed one by his arms and flipped him over my shoulder onto the cement floor. Punched him square on his cheek. Third one kicked my back from behind, so I turned and punched him in his kneecap. Mind you I had the lock in my hand the whole time so the damage done was pretty extensive, bruised #1s entire side of his face, broke the cheek bone of #2, and [b]almost[/b] broke #3s knee. I almost got charged with assault with a deadly weapon, but when their parents heard what they had been doing they decided they got what they needed. Needless to say they never said another word to me, or anyone else for that matter. Success.

I had bullies, but I retaliated every time they tried to mess with me. After I won in a 6 to 1 fight, they left me alone. But now that I think before I act, I'm a much nicer and more considerate person.

I've always been bullied until 8th grade. Over the summer I had a HUGE growth spurt and when I came back, and he tried to knock me around. I socked him right in face. I was never bullied again
