Will old gear (armor) be able to reach new level cap?
Idk. I was just thinking. Can't I get vog gear and acend it, and then level it and make it level 40 armor pieces? Please correct me if I'm wrong, and explain where I went wrong

2 RepliesThe changes incoming seperate light from level. Level is now independent of light. Old gear will be assigned a light level which cannot be further increased beyond ascended values. The new mechanism for improving items - infusion - will not be available for year one items. New gear will be required to hit the new peak light levels. Old gear can still be worn but compared to the new high level equipment it will reduce your light score: The average of all items equipped.
