The (mostly) playing solo dudes and dudetes, that (almost) don't play pvp.
Hey Bungies,
Euhm, first of all i'd like to say thanks for all the work you guys put in. So thank you guys! ;)
Second i'd like to say something for the solo players that work solo.
We don't play iron banner for instance. Or other pvp stuff. So how in the H am i gonna get etheric lights easy? Yeah i know, prison. But you need others for that, and that doesn't always work out. Raids also. If you find a group, mostly you get kicked because it's a friends thing, or some other reasons.
Is there a possibility to create or make the lone wolf can get that stuff too? That would be awesome.
There are people that just don't get it done. Check my time how much i've played, and how many i got. That goes for certain weapons too.
Would be nice. Thanks guys. I know it's lots of work, so thanks again. And just see what could be done.
Thanks for the game, it's just awesome. The first game i've plaued this long. That says something i think.

Not all solo players don't play pvp. But this is why they need optimal matchmaking for all endgame content besides kings fall. All the old content is too easy now to lock behind lfg. Are you open to playing with people or do you actually want a way to solo these activities? Because that won't happen. Until optional matchmaking you just have to do what the rest of us did. Lfg, try a clan, and friend people you play till you don't have to anymore to have a roster to message

6 RepliesOw, i just thought of this. Thirst of all i'd like to thank everyone for the input. Thanks! But think with me on this one. I would like to brainstorm on the idea that there be a lone wolf raid or poe. It could avtually be done. There are countless counters, on really everything. Isn't it poss8ble to keep count of how many hoursbsomeone spends on pvp stuff. If it's below a certain point, then automaticly an exotic "special lone wolf" bounty, or raid, or poe pops up to get some desired loot? There are countless people that just do not play pvp. They don't like it, they don't enjoy it, or whatever reason there might be. And for them there is an alternative. Just think with me guys. It's just an idea to think about. So let us think about it instead of giving other options. Example : i have enough friends, am even in a clan. But still i do not seem to end up in raids. Just a little and it's not enough. Also for poe. I've actually never done the 34 and 35 for instance! Can't there be something then? I would really enjoy a hard raid solo, or a solo poe on hard. It diesn't gave to be easy, it can even be a little grindy so to say. So? Is it possible? If yes, what would it look like and what bonusses should come out? If no, euhmm don't answer that, lol!! Thanks for thinking guys, keep the ideas coming!

1 ReplyWell, before the new Taken King system of Legendary Marks was unveiled I did have a workable idea. I found that Vanguard and Crucible marks had become a redundancy with the release of House of Wolves. Due to the fact that you're now relatively tripping over legendary weapons, gear and engrams as opposed to the pre-HoW game, the role and importance of Vanguard and Crucible marks is greatly diminished. If you're not just sitting on 200 VM indefinitely then you probably used them to buy a weapon from the Vanguard Quartermaster with the soul intention of dismantling it for a mote and some weapon parts. A full two weeks for a mote and some weapon parts? Hardly worth the effort. So my thought was why not allow for say Cayde or the other respective class mentors to offer Etheric Light for sale at a price of 200 VM each? It would definitely give VM a reason to exist and perhaps even cause a little decision making in what to do with your VM. That results in players being interested and invested. But it's all for not lol The new TTK system is what it is and currently Etheric Light has no definitive plan for its future in the game. I realize this is kind of a redundant topic but it was an idea I had a while back :)

11 RepliesYou can do the prisons solo, it's just crazy intense by yourself, nightfall too. Pvp iron banner you just gotta hope you get a good team that's in sync or is communicating with each other. All of this is really hard by yourself but there are people who do this in a lone wolf manner.

I play iron banner with a team and solo without an issue. Other than that you are required to find a team for higher level end game content. With the taken long it is all experience based instead of armor to boost your light level. You will still need to play some higher level content to get better gear however. Destiny was not intended to be a solo game. It's about random interaction with groups of players and teaming up to conquer the biggest challenges.

I agree totally, would have liked to do more poe even found a couple of good people to play with but they both stopped playing a while ago I hope they are back for ttk. If anyone would like to get together and have ago at poe my gt is liskmarth.

I still play IB, Control, and Clash solo, though, and do very well. Because I've started using LFG, though, I have like six pages of friends who play Destiny, and go flawless every week. Just try the sites, they help a lot..

Well, i have enough friends. So that's not the problem. I just don't like playing pvp. Iron Banner i'll do, just for the fun of it (yes, with friends), and ofcourse for the engrams and the extra's. But crucibel, naaah, trials, naaahhh. It's just not for me. I like it more to roam the planets and hunt around. (And with me lots more, trust me) So there must be an option, like someone else here already replied, to try and realize a lone wolf raid, or lone wolf something, where they drop nice stuff. Let's say, eurhhmmm some exotic boots for Warlocks ;) So i don't totally agree with you on the quiting part of the game ;) Just because there is more then enough wich is still plenty of fun. If you play luke i do, then you miss out on certain gear or weaponry. The thought is that there must be some way, where they can track wich players do not participate in certain events, to let them run extra special exotic bounties for instance. In wich you have or get a chance on getting to that special loot. Just a thought. :)

Nope....not going to happen. It part of buniges psychological manipulation. They want to force you to make friends so you'll be less likely to quit. If your realty a lone wolf. Then you should quit playing this game. It will reward players like you.

I play in fire teams and sometimes I like to play solo. It would be nice to have a good hard solo challenge in the game.

I will avoid PvP except during Iron Banner and that was at first for Gear, then it was etheric light. Which is how I got the few that I did. Never had any drop from a Nightfall either. This last Iron Banner I couldn't even play due to Baboons and Weasels all week. Did level 32 PoE once cause of the no matchmaking thing. Found out Etheric light doesn't drop at 32.... So yea as I said before about 90% of HoW was pointless and inaccessible for me. Complete waist of money. I regret ever pre ordering the first 2 DLC.

2 RepliesAgreed. More Solo content please. Irony is, you play the story essentially solo, even with friends. It never feels like your in the game with friends as the story always involves 1 guardian.

i would like a lone wolf mode to certain things like the raids and PoE, imagine this your soloing the confluxes in VoG and instead of 3 confluxes there is only the one you have to defend on all the waves but instead on lone wolf mode it gets harder by having more enemies focused on you per wave plus, for example minotaur style fanatics or supplicants

Bump! I'd love more challenging lone wolf content. I'm thinking back to the "Mile High Club" achievement in Modern Warfare. That was hugely challenging, and completing it was one of my most rewarding gaming experiences. Plz Bungie

Solo content would be super sweet. I don't like searching out groups on LFG, I'd much rather happen across a guardian... Offer a helping hand... Then continue on my own personal mission. I have limited play time at night and many y1 nights felt like complete wastes of time due to other players directly impacting my playtime. Run a raid and wipe over and over due to one person being ill suited for the task.
