• pilot name: captain Volkov pilot ethnicity: Russian, American ship name: jaeger XV ship type: heavy cruiser ship defense: Solid ship weapon: Gatling turret ship backstory: there has been a long line of jaeger ships which have all ended up being a scavengers gold mine. the ships have been poorly build for a century and have never survived long in the wild, jaeger XV was the exception though. the ship is the first heavy cruiser built with the jaeger name and was a step up in technology from its light cruiser brothers. the ship still did not have the benefit of the energy shields most ships are now equipped with but its advanced armor plating compensates for the lack of this addition. as well as its defenses the ships weapons are also not as advanced as they could be. jaeger XV's weapon system uses schematics from the old world which are (in some cases) sturdier and more reliable than the more advanced and flimsy energy weapons. though the ship is considered a heaver cruiser it still expresses its light cruiser roots. the ships hull is slightly smaller than the average heavy cruiser, this reduction of mass allows its engines to pump out more power which slightly increases its speed. this smaller hull also limits the cruiser to a crew of 5 instead of the standard 6. this being said, a ship is only as good as her crew. with jaegers track record of producing faulty ships the crew who bought this beauty did not have the know how to operate it. the crew did a well enough job to stay alive but when a charismatic captain came onto the scene the ship was commandeered. which brings us to captain Vasly Volkov. captain bio: Vasly Volkov is an Russian, American child who grew up on a little yellow planet called Ablyssus Vastus. Ablyssus is a desert planet which not many people pay attention to. the world is small and has little resources so authorities don't look closely after it. because of this the citizens do not consider themselves part of any government other than there own. after a few short years of colonization the planet began governing themselves rather than following the laws of its district. the planet became sustained through clever engineering and import and export (exports consisting of many glass goods, containers, Windows, etc.). though they were sustained the planet had limited defense against other factions and groups so they began a new trade. the planet began allowing criminals (pirates, mercenaries, smugglers) to hide out in there little yellow rock in return for protection, some groups agreed and the planet was protected. but this caused crime rates to rise and possibly created more issues than solutions. many people were recruited into these groups and many continued to work in the glass mills and earn an honest living. Volkov was one who decided to leave join the criminals, not because he wanted an easy way of living but because he wanted to see the Galaxy, the universe. he had grown up on a planet in which almost everything looked the same. the architecture, the landscape, it was all very similar. after a few years of "service" he was eventually promoted to lieutenant and was tasked with commandeering a ship. he was able to convince his superiors to allow him to assemble his own team. him and his closest allies took jaeger XV and left their fleet to roam the Galaxy and assemble their own band of misfits, and run from the one they betrayed.
is this alright? I didn't look at the systems page before making the planet so I didn't assign it to one.
