Gears of War Multiplayer Sucks!
I just got the game, and I don't understand what there is to like about Gears of War PvP. Everyone literally just rolls around the map and blindfires their shotguns. It usually winds up being a huge cluster-blam in the middle of the map. And don't even get me started about the "cover system". Half the time when I'm trying to execute the oh-so-necessary roll/shotgun combo, I snap to the nearest wall and get my dome blown off by, you guessed it, a shotgun. Oh yeah and every five minutes someone shows up with a fetching rocket launcher and obliterates the whole team!! Can someone please explain to me how this is fun?

See I love the campaign and fully admit to missing out on the MP so playing the campaign remastered is awesome but the MP I just don't really enjoy. Will give the game credit though for a game that's a decade or so old it runs like Usain bolt.

Gears 2 and 3 are my favorites but Gow1 for multiplayer sucks IMO you're just too slow and clunky.

4 RepliesDescription of gears players from pro to noob. The Sniper first one to the sniper/bow spawn, gets the speed reload every time and is on the top on the scoreboard most games. The Grenader knows the best spots for planting frags. Double tapper uses the shotgun and rolls/wall bounces. The Butt toucher just runs around trying to chainsaw everyone.

Sounds like you're playing with randoms When you play with your boys and you have a strat going up against another team of 4... Nothing I have played before has been so intense and fun. It also sounds like you're playing Deathmatch... Execution is [u]the[/u] gametype to play IMO.

The fun is to learn how the multi-player system work, this is not a generic shooter like most shooters out there I got destroyed because I had no idea how it worked, I've been watching videos to learn the mechanics, it doesn't mean you'll become real good during the first day, it takes time, that's what makes gears real great

It's Gears of War 1, it's not that fun. Gears 2 is where the fun happens, but it's a little too late to learn the ways of the Gears Community since it's dead. -
