Put it this way. Was anyone ready to raid day one when Vanilla Destiny launched? no, will anyone be actually ready to raid day one of TTK? Probably not. Even with peopel stock piling bounties, public event packs, etc, being level 40 won't be enough to get through the raid, loadout and armor are now the most important things, not level. Luke Smith even said they are taking a different approach, level is not the key factor anymore, up to now it's always been about the level that determined your damage input/ output, its been very lateral. Now with TTK they are taking a more horizontal approach, getting to level 40 will be easy so that we can focus on building different loadouts to do endgame activities. Being max level is not the solution to now. So if you think you can do all that D1 and smash the raid your just not understanding how TTK works. Take the weeks prior to raid launch to level up, get gear, and be truly ready to raid.
