Folks, Luke Smith just announced with IGN that King's Fall will not be available when TTK launches and they'll announce when at a later date!
What are your thoughts?
Edit 1: The announcement is made in the last three minutes of the video.
Edit 2: Such great dialogue regarding the announcement as we trend in less than two hours! Thank you Guardians!
Edit 3: Bungie had tweeted the new raid, King's Fall, is completed and will launch on the heels of TTK.
Edit 4: King's Fall, the new raid in TTK, launches 9/18 at 10am PST.

Good thinking Bungie. Now I will feel less overwhelmed when the dlc launches and I can play the missions and quests with my friends leisurely.
-
I think it's good because it gives you time to grind levels, collect weapons and experiment with your new subclass before taking on the Taken King head on.
-
Alleviates the stress of needing to beat the raid week 1. Which is a fun celebrity in its own way.. Catch 22.. I'm ok with it
-
Great, then I don't need to preorder ttk!
-
I like to explore every nook and cranny available. gives me time to find and unplug Oryx's router and send the whole place into a state of disarray while also picking up every shiny bauble that catches my eye in the murky depths of the Dreadnought
-
I'm okay with this, remember the time when VoG wasn't available until the later date? All of us being forever 29 trying to complete the VoG raid and had no effing clue what to do? Lol
-
No problem at all, why the anxiety???
-
https://youtu.be/G_GGyalip2s Pay it forward
-
That's a horrible way to put it. It won't be available right away much like how vault wasn't available when the game first launched.
-
I'm glad. That means this: More time to work on it More time for us to level up and get ready Better raid More challenging raid A better constructed challenge
-
Thank god they did this, I've got time to enjoy the content without having to rush through it to experience it with everyone else at the same time. <3 Bungie
-
I'm pleased. No real need to rush to hit level 40. I can enjoy the content rather than rush though it. I doubt it will be more than 2 weeks later.
-
I was expecting this, it provides a good platform for a world first as everyone will be somewhat prepared, if it was realeased straight away people would rush through everything trying to get to the raid, now we have time to prepare
-
Oh yeah, Raids are never available at launch. Vault of Glass didn't open until a week and a half after Launch. Crota's End didn't open until a week after TDB Launch.
-
Great news as it gives them time to finish it before release!
-
expected.....took a couple of days off the following week in case it launches then.....
-
Im completely fine with this. I dont see why some people are mad they cant rush through everything immediately.
-
I don't mind gives them time to get the raid ready and for us to grind powerful gear before getting in there
-
HELLO VOG WASNT HERE ON DAY 1 MORONS. YOU NEED TIME TO LEVEL AND GEAR SO HAVING IT DAY ONE WOULD BE LITERALLY POINTLESS
-
Same as when the base game come out. They do this so that people have time to gear up and prepare for the race to finish the raid first.
-
Edited by ubermorph3000: 8/31/2015 4:49:01 AMUmm... VOG wasn't available on day one...
-
Same thing happened with Vanilla Destiny. They don't want people to rush to lv 40 probably like with the last few dlcs
-
Only the generation after the first expansion will be mad. They are spoiled guardians with having 2raids when they started playing...

This isn't new, this happened when TDB and The vanilla destiny started, it's one or two weeks to prepare and get people ready to go hit lvl 40 for the raid. Hope this informed you, ~Nova

same as vanilla destiny.... wait a week for the raid to come out, and hard by the end of the month. Makes sure everyone has had a chance to finish the story and gear up. Give everyone time to plan their raid parties and times (vacations anyone?)
