Folks, Luke Smith just announced with IGN that King's Fall will not be available when TTK launches and they'll announce when at a later date!
What are your thoughts?
Edit 1: The announcement is made in the last three minutes of the video.
Edit 2: Such great dialogue regarding the announcement as we trend in less than two hours! Thank you Guardians!
Edit 3: Bungie had tweeted the new raid, King's Fall, is completed and will launch on the heels of TTK.
Edit 4: King's Fall, the new raid in TTK, launches 9/18 at 10am PST.

bungie simply ruined one of the best mission i ever seen overall the games. crota. why? i think they got scared that players are too young and weak to deal with a well working raid and they left ppl using glitch and tricks to do it and never fixed the number of bugs inside it. and bungie has chosen to let good hard mechanics outside the raid. just take a look at the bridge...... maybe u can feel proud and happy to do it solo the first time but after one or two months it turns just boring as hell. why bungie never fixed that glitch.... and the lamps? why they didnt put some mechanic to force ppl to run them as a team and trying not to dye? i dunno something like if the entire party does not get purified by each lamp the whole party is dead. and crota? cmon everyone knows this is the easiest step of the raid.... one or two gjally and a hunter and its done. why dont put some kinda challenge to make it a bit harder? seriously bungie thinks kids and teens are so fukkin stupid to not be able to handle something like that??? >_< bringing over the time the new raid is not a solution. bungie should make it hard to do. and force ppl to do it as a team removing possible glitches and tricks and wr will have lot of fun running that. fukk

I love it, I get a week or so to enjoy the rest and then I can get into the raid hype
-
.......no biggie there, but the 60 GIG requirement may sting a bit.....
-
We wouldn't be able to do it anyway.
-
Thank god.
-
Makes sense wanna have you're new subclass maxed out along with you're level and have obtained some good quality year 2 gear so you'll be able to get thru it. It was no different from last year with VOG
-
Fairly standard so far. Which raid was available on download day?
-
Wow, they are definitely trying hard to control EVERY aspect of how we play this game. I think this is a good thing though it really solidifies the point made that the DLC is not worth a day one purchase. If you cant play what you want when you want on day one then there's really no point. Capping at least one character can be done day one so then its back to grinding day two, no thanks, ill wait and see if its actually worth it now.
-
Bungie did the right thing in my opinion. I'd hate to have to rush through all this juicy new content just to do the raid day 1. Gives me time to level my new StormCaller and nightstalker subclasses
-
I'm fine with it. I'll be too busy leveling characters and collecting gear the first week or two anyway. There will be months of replaying the strike, so a few weeks either way makes no difference.
-
FFXIV didn't release Alexander: Gordias and Alexander: Savage right when Heavensward came out. Cry more.
-
got 3 characters to level up to 40. that'll keep me busy enough.
-
I'm fine with it. Par for the course as far as raids go.
-
i think its awesome. it gives me time to level up my guardians at my own pace instead of stocking up on public event packages and bounties
-
Yeah chill how many are actually gonna have enough good weapons to actually take on oryx
-
My thoughts are..... Who cares
-
Guys, Guys... We're working on it. We are a little busy this time of year, mostly cashing in our pre order money and... yeah. Also we did not "cut" content ok it might seem like we did but cmon guardians cmon.
ok maybe we cut a little content, but no one likes raids anyway right?
-
With the amount of content thats coming out i think i'll be more than occupied before the raid comes out
-
Still got crucible
-
I prefer it this way.
-
Think of this like a batman situation. New bad guys, new place, new weapons and gadgets for us to use. What do we need? Prep time. Batman with prep time wins. Guardians with perp time can win. You can't expect us to try running into the raid on day one with blues and legendaries only and win, right? Remember with VoG how some encounters took people 2 days during the first week? Exactly, we don't want to do that again now do we?
-
My thoughts? I don't care. It'll be the same as Destiny's original release. VoG was not available at launch.
-
They're probably delaying it because TTK isn't as good as they're hyping it and they don't want people to complete all the content on the first day, so they're forcing us to wait.
and here comes the fanboys
-
It's the right thing to do in my opinion.
-
I imagine it's to give us time to prepare for the posts saying " need 5 for kings fall, need to be 40 with light 400"
-
Good thinking Bungie. Now I will feel less overwhelmed when the dlc launches and I can play the missions and quests with my friends leisurely.
