What to do when cheaters found in iron banner?
Last night playing iron banner ran into a cheater and caught him red handed.
If this doesn't deserve a ban I don't know what does.

While forum posts and videos SEEM like a great way to help with cheaters.... other than raising awareness, they don't do much to help get rid of them. Mostly due to the fact that a video is what a player saw on their console, which (sadly) isn't always a complete picture of what happened in the game and on the network (one console in a MP match is not the full story). A forum post and/or a video will NOT get anyone banned from the game. Ever. The people who investigate cheating, exploits and network shenanigans aren't cruising the forums, they won't see the thread/vid, and it's not how they collect their data.

1 ReplyDo nothing as bungie do not care, I have seen so many people useing the mtu setting cheat its crazy. Posted a video of a team (and reported them in game) well over a month ago and all 3 are still playing

I made some videos from Lag Switchern and udp flooders at this iron "cheater" banner. I dont put it here but at youtube and i hope so much people see it and dont buy TTK because of that from bungie protectet cheaters.

There were 1 or 2 low-ping people scattered around elsewhere but they were also soooooo low scoring that I am willing to accept they were simply just experiencing normal lag. Seriously, last month's IB was horrible. Every 2nd or 3rd match would have someone cheating or taking VERY obvious advantage of their lag. But this week it was mostly all-greens and (except 2 matches) no teleporting or Superman invincibility.

Hi orighammer I know you have heard this a lot but just use the report system bungie has in the game. You may also use the file complaint and avoid player options too

Nothing will be done if ninjas are going to remove any proof of cheating. All we can do is put in a report for something that likely doesn't do jack shit!

3 RepliesBe nice if they matched players by connection quality. Lets the intentional cheaters and people just with lousy internet match up against each other, rather than slowing down & glitching games for everyone else.

2 RepliesMy team ran into a Lag Cheater on Saturday. After three melee hits to the head with no damage he killed me. After Respawn Same Player took a full mag from Mida and no damage. My buddy hit him with three shotgun blast and no damage. We ended up just leaving the game at that point. Player was Red Bar the whole time.

Tbh, it's gotten to that point where myself and all of my friends in different locations, with different providers keep seeing the same game breaking bullshit from the same people, that we're so certain it's not just a little bit of lag, we just back out when we see them. No point giving them the satisfaction of a game. No point wasting your own time when you're supposed to be playing for enjoyment.

When you believe someone is cheating the best thing you can do is use the in-game Report Player function: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12960 Bungie takes cheating seriously. As mentioned in weekly updates, they have landed the banhammer on many players guilty of network manipulation. If you have been booted, use the Xbox/PlayStation report functions. (Though you should always also use these)

Rather than take proactive steps such as fixing the root causes that allow people to so easily cheat, Bungie gives you the ability to send a report in-game. You are not allowed to name, show video, or even explain what the cheat is. Bungie is supposedly psychic enough to guess why you reported them.

2 RepliesYou are wasting your time. My team were killed 3 seconds BEFORE the FIRST heavy ammo drop by a ROCKET! I reported. The player still isn't banned. I sent video to XBox reporting. Still nothing. That was last Iron Banner. I stopped playing PVP today. Had enough... Good luck to you and your efforts, they fall on deaf ears. It's the same in every other game. As long as the $$ keeps flowing, they care less!

Played two rounds and quit due to cheating. I'll never do trials again.
