Making this post just to remind idiots that titans are always screwed over by this game. Titan takes by far the most skill of any class in Destiny, it's honestly not even a question. Now I expect a bunch of people who main hunters and warlocks to give dumb accusations for reasons why I'm wrong; such as "Fist of Havoc" or "Shoulder Charge". The people who claim these are advantages as a titan don't actually play on a Titan.
I've mained a Titan since Day One and up until the release of house of wolves never made a second class. After about a week of using a hunter....with only gunslinger I realized how much easier playing hunter is. Once I got to bladedance....forget about it. I'm a sniper so I rarely ever blink shotgun, but when I do you can bet I get 15-20 more kills than deaths easy. I mean blink allows someone who can go from 20 feet with a shotgun to 3 feet away and shoot you mid air for a kill. Let me just explain how a titan can handle this situation. THEY CANT. And I will explain why shoulder charge doesn't work, this happens to me sometimes, I will shoulder charge to close the gap but this animation is long and puts your gun down so by the time the animation is over I'm dead. The only other option I have is to actually be tactical and outsmart the opposition.
Don't even get me started on things like the ram, RANGED MELEE's for the other classes, and supers that you can run around with for even more proof that titans are the hardest pvp class to master. Also if you have noticed all of the top tier pvp players in this game are warlocks and hunters for a reason. Do me a favor warlocks and hunters get off your high horse and admit to your advantages. I admit that titans have an awesome super in first of havoc as it is great to counter other supers....aka self res and bladedance. I will also admit that lightning grenades are extremely powerful but it does take TWO pulses to get a kill you can simply just get out of the way, we have a third of the op things you guys have. I'm sure all my fellow titans will agree, I mean I could go on longer about it but I'll stop now.
Edit: Also name one useful PvP exotic for a titan outside of Armamentarium.
Edit #2: i linked my account for some of you to "judge my stats". Also for those of you saying peregrines are a useful exotic dont play as a titan, YOU HAVE TO BE IN MID AIR, do you know how niche that is. One last thing the defender can be useful but can be supered very easily plus the grenades have some bugs to them which have been made evident by posts on these forums.

Edited by Smasher: 8/29/2015 11:43:11 PMWhy do you guys argue that one class takes skill more than the others? All classes have their advantages and disadvantages. I main a titan because it's fun to use. To be honest none of the classes require skill. I believe it all comes down to the player and his/her preference.

No class takes more skill and I have all three
-
Beta Days Titan here. First things first I agree with our class taking the most skill, but we shouldn't be fighting amongst the petty little Hunters or the frilly dress wearing Warlocks. We should focus on our mission to restore order and fight off the Evil Darkness. Hone our skills in Crucible and destroy those who stand in your way. Us Titans don't care about whose best, we only care if your loyal to the cause of protecting those who can't protect themselves and ending the Darknesses reign over our home.

titan master race

I main a Warlock, but I agree. Titans DO take the most skill to use. I have each class, but I also find Titans the most boring to play as well. I have a far better time playing as the other two classes. The way I see it, Titans don't really have much going for them. If I mained a Titan, I would've quit this game quite a while ago.

Titan for life...I like to use helm of inmost light in pvp and yea those boots might be the worst piece of exotic gear in the game, pointless really
-
Just say defender and leave it at that.
-
Unless you're running defender in crucible i have respect for that. But if you run striker...
-
Agree
-
Titans are the hardest to use but if you get good with them they become OP
-
While I think shoulder charge shouldn't be a one hit kill, it takes skill to use that perk so I agree with you. To me, SUNSINGERS and both Titan subclasses take skill. Void walkers and blade dancers are the cheesiest and easiest to use in crucible. Takes very little skill.
-
To stay alive as a titan takes skill is what this thread should be called
-
Kinda right I aeem to always out gun titans on my Warlock or hunter the only time they kill me is with shoulder charge or a shotgun

I like how Titan users always complain about getting screwed over, not having blink, blah blah blah. Yet, they still use them, so can you shut up? Thanks man
-
It still all comes down to your gun skill
-
Aww look, an elitest -blam!-. Not like we dont have enough of those
-
As a day one Titan main, shoulder charging at an opponent you know know will be blinking (or any opponent you know is out of range) isn't very smart at all. The blink remedy is simple: a little sprint forward and a 180 degree turn.

I hate Titans and I know peregrine grieves suck really bad who tf said they are good

To be super successful, yeah Titans take the most work. Sunsingers have firebolt grenades that are the best grenades in the game & their super allows them to spam them with an instakill melee plus an overshield. Hunters have QuickDraw and arcbolt. The super is okay/pretty good in the right hands. But blink and QuickDraw are the main benefits of hunting Titans have an awesome grenade and super that can shut down any other super but both are very situational. Lightning grenade can be used to cut people off or funnel them or can also be skillfully thrown to finish somebody off who is hiding. Titan smash takes more skill than people realize. Even the best Titans miss their smashes or get killed right after.

I agree. Titans have no crutches. 0 gimmicks or tricks just you and your gun

We shall have our day! Raise Thine Hammers Guardians!

DEFENDER Titan takes the most skill
-
I main a titan and find it the easiest to use.
-
I have the most trouble going flawless on my Titan. Warlock and Hunter, I usually get done on the first run through.
-
Takes most skill ..... I don't think I'm going to EVER stop laughing
