Hello fellow forum dwellers! While i was reading through the forums, another user by the name of TitaniteThorian had a cool idea. That idea was to make September 16th "Vault Day" in honour of the Vault of Glass' release.
Now, you might be wondering, what does this entail?
It doesn't have to be anything big it can be things such as
- Wearing Chatterwhite
- Using Vault gear
- Running VoG on Hard and/or Normal
- Saluting/Dancing/Otherwise paying tribute to the vault in patrols (I'm seeing some really awesome choreographed videos from the more creative people)
- Helping new Year 2 players get through it
-Running it with some crazy made up rules with friends
Those are just a few things I can think of off the top of my head. So what do you say? Why not pay tribute to the best part of Destiny year 1? Who can forget the feeling of wonder when you opened the vault for the first time? Or how frustrating it was figuring out the puzzles in the beginning? The vault has so many memories and I think it deserves some recognition and love.
EDIT: Wow over 50 responses! Keep the thread going guys! This could be an awesome tradition!
EDIT 2: Over 100 replies!
EDIT 3: Some people have suggested a name change and I agree. Leave some suggestions and I'll take the most popular one!
EDIT 4: Over 250 replies! Keep it coming guys!
EDIT 5: 500 replies and still going! Let's make this a thing guardians!

While I think this is a good idea, wouldn't the 13th or 14th be better even though it's not exactly right? Let's be honest. Who in their right mind is going to be going back to all this content we've beaten to death for a year when new content released the day before?
-
I will run it just so I can get another Aspect of Glass and another Sparrow!!!!! BOOOOOM!
-
New players wouldn't be able to run VoG immediately anyway, since theyd have to jump 3-5 levels to get at an appropriate level to run VoG, and that's if they use their spark
-
Wouldn't be able to do it. It's on a weekday, and my parents don't let me get on then.
-
-
I am totally down for this! Running the VoG the first time was amazing! Back when we were all trying to figure our what to do and the whole thing was new. Good times!
-
My level 27 warlock is a permanent tribute to the vault. I'll be sure to stand idly in social spaces with him for a while before I delete my duplicate warlocks and unneeded gear.
-
I would do it, but I'll be busy playing TTK. I'll make sure to give it a salute though.
-
This just in: Bethesda sues Bungie and forces them to change the name of their annual celebration of the opening of the vault of glass to Raid Day instead of Vault Day
-
Still don't have chatter white :(
-
Easy mode with no land beyond and the sidearm
-
This sounds cool! I'll be wearing chatterwhite, using aspect of glass, and making sure I wear every single piece of VoG gear I have!
-
If it wasn't for the new level system, I would say equip armor that'll push you down to level 29, and then having a big dance party outside the door.
-
Chill out dude
-
I'll run chatter white aspect of class, all vault weapons and armor
-
Great idea I'm in!!!
-
My body is ready. So are my gauntlets, legs, and helmet.
-
I'm shooting to gain the whole Hezen Lords set, as I think it's the best looking Warlock armor. Over 9 runs and nothing...
-
I'll run chatterwhite on all three characters, and aspect of glass ship.
-
Sure thing.
-
Amazing idea. 10/10
-
No thanks. Going to be consumed with taken King.
-
I'm on board.
-
A dance party by the Vault of Glass door would be so awesome. Pity we never get funny things to do.
-
I can do that
-
I will wear Chatterwhite, have my ship, timebreaker, and use... fatebringer and VoC. Maybe even bust out my 365 Praetorian Foil!
