Take in mind that the physical Collector's Edition get more stuff for the $80 price tag. The digital Collector's Edition only gets the digital items for the same $80 price, which is why I'm thinking they get a couple of extras.

Those who purchase the digital edition should not get anything extra over the physical, the point of "the physical guys get physical goodies" doesn't hold as all digital content is more expensive because you don't have to leave your house to go get it, you have it immediately. Hence why old games are still often commanding a huge price in the xbox online store.

yes but physical is ALWAYS digital+physical CE items. now it may be digital and physical are two totally different beasts. I just want imput from deej or cozmo saying what the deal is. so I can cancel my physical ed if needed and or get the digital edition instead.
-
You can't , you would of had to preorder the digital copy before they announced the $20 add ons.
-
Thanks for the input! Preordering both the orginal and this Collector's Editon shouldn't excluded me or anyone else from obtaining some in game item... Especially when announcing items will be included with "This or That" edition after the fact of releasing it and so many have already preordered early trying to support the game.

That makes no sense. If I buy a digital copy of a movie it's 20 dollars. If I go to the store and buy a hard copy it's 20 dollars. The digital copy are for the people that don't want to go out and get. If they wanted the extra stuff then buy the hard copy. But now I am supposed to buy the same game 3 times to get everything. I'm sorry that is not right. Bungie knows this shit will happen. look up Nepal shader on eBay , it sells for 200 dollars. Bungie knows if they add stuff to a different version of the game , people will buy multiple times.

Edited by catrodsan: 8/28/2015 1:28:22 AMNo one is forcing you to buy all content. The analogy of a movie doesn't apply in this situation as you physically get material items. The physical edition is limited supply. Not everyone could have lined up for a pre-order. So you can't say they didn't want those either. Bungie is just righting a wrong. Those who bought the physical edition get physical goodies no one else has. Those who buy the digital get digital goodies no one else has.

Edited by chaz221973: 8/28/2015 1:33:32 AMBull bungie knows people will buy the game 3 times. You are right I don't have to and I won't. If this is the way the are doing things I will be returning my preorder and be done. And I love this game , over 2000 hours. It's all about selling the game to the same person multiple times. Of course you have a choice, but bungie knows people will. Also if bungie is trying to right a wrong, they went and messed it up because I'm not the only one with this problem. They just created a whole new mess

Edited by catrodsan: 8/28/2015 2:10:26 AMIn my opinion they aren't creating problems but people are creating it for themselves. It's a choice. Some people will, some people won't. You could cancel your pre order, those who ordered digitally can't.
-
Also Physical Pre-Orders can be cancelled. Digital Pre-orders cannot. Everyone who ordered before the $20 Upgrade was announced essentially lost out on $20.
-
Everyone who pre-ordered the Digital CE after the $20 upgrade also lost out on $20.
-
This is true. If they don't read Bungie.net then they may not have known about the Collector's Edition Upgrade. I suppose if people keep asking then maybe Bungie will furnish us with more details. Hopefully it's for everyone, but we'll see.

Yeah he's right the digital won't be getting the physical stuff like the strange coins I believe.
