Some clarification on the PvP side of the Weekly/Daily stuff would be nice. In the PvE section he says that you have to be level 40 to get access to Weekly/Daily, which would mean level 40 before access to "new"/"good" loot. In the PvP section he does not say anything about needing to be level 40 before accessing the PvP weekly. I am not saying some/all/most of us won't be level 40 pretty quickly, so it could be a moot point, but if it takes longer to do the quest line to get to 40 in PvE then I thank that would be BS. I quote: Weekly PVP Ritual Nightfall was built as a ritual experience for groups of three players in PVE. In Year 1, we didn't have a good weekly ritual experience for PVP players. Once players have completed the PVP Intro chain on Lord Shaxx, they receive access to the Weekly PVP quests on Lord Shaxx and the PVP Quartermaster. Each week, Lord Shaxx has a Bounty called "The True Meaning of War." Completing this Bounty each week (which requires completing the PVP weeklies) grants players Nightfall tier rewards. Daily Heroic/Daily PVP It's important to us that Destiny remain compatible with real life. Playing multiple characters can sometimes feel like a job or a chore, the Daily Heroic and Daily PVP often felt that way. So we increased their rewards and made them an account completion. We want players to choose which characters they want to play on and earn Legendary Marks on.

Are they trying to limit how we earn strange coins?
-
PvE endgame activities and rewards got nerfed, and , yet again, PvP end game activities and rewards got buffed, yet again, forcing PvE players to play PvP.

If nightfall doesn't send you to orbit now, does that mean they will be introducing matchmaking? Keeping the fireteam together after a KTO was the reason Bungie gave for not adding matchmaking to nightfall when they added it to the weekly. F it just starts you at the start (or worse, at the last CP) then no reason not to have matchmaking Not that I care either way. It's not hard to find an extra player or two. But they are running out of excuses if they don't add matchmaking with this update.

Awesome

The Casual King living up to it's moniker.
-
No more weekly strikes? Mmmmm. I like the 30 seconds dead before revive, instead of being kicked to orbit for Nightfall. As for the rest I will save judgement until I have actually played them.
-
I think it sucked but a lot is still unclear. It could suck less.
-
Why is NO ONE talking about the Strike specific rewards?? Let me say that again... STRIKE. SPECIFIC. REWARDS. Rewards based on the bosses you fight. Finally a -blam!-ing reason to grind strikes (especially since gear is not required, you can now go for aesthetic reasons)!!!!!
-
The weekly update makes it sound like Destiny going forward will become centred around the skill-less and casual gamer. I got a feeling that the new changes will make it Candy Crush with guns.
-
It's much needed. I can't wait. I'm surprised it took a year for these changes, honestly..
-
Sounds good to me.
-
Well now I don't feel too obligated to do nightfalls and heroic strikes. Thx Bungie. No more Omnigul nightfalls for me. Only reason I did nightfall was for XP.
-
I may be the holder of a unpopular opinion, but I'm going to miss getting kicked to orbit for wiping during the strike.
-
Level 40 to participate in the nightfall? Once per account? No weekly? Where are all the coins gonna come from? Rng is geared toward giving you things you don't have? Sounds like no more spending 100 coins on heavy and being more conscious on what you spend them on. I'll believe the rng thing when I see it. No more multiple characters to increase the reward chances. The grind just got real.....

There were 777 posts on this before I arrived.

They found the most diabolical Way to turn this game into pay to play without the micro transactions lol
-
So do we do 3 nightfalls or we limited to 1

I like the open tone and the amount of info that was told by Luke Smith. Detailing sone if those QoL changes really helps build a good vibe between developer and player. There was still some vagueness about rewards, but they told us what we should expect, and let our imaginations do the rest. 10/10

Edited by SnowCrashYOLO: 8/28/2015 7:38:03 AMChanges are welcome, but we shall see what happens in practice... Strange Coins are as now to easy to obtain, and i would like idea for them to be rare. Only problem is, if they become rare, many players still have 100+ of them, so new idea seems little unfair for new players or for some1 who is not grinding with 3 characters...
-
I dont know yet how I feel about the Nightfall... Well currently many ppl run the Nightfalls only for the buff anyway... With TTK the main goal of Nightfalls will for some time be the new loot grinding so the buff can wait imo. But what about Strange Coins? Is Bungies intention to make them way more rare then currently? Imo yes... Iam more then fine with the Weekly removal as it is now.
-
Less grind for me
-
Account based rewards is bs,no more 3x nightfall run
-
I'm happy

Edited by ProvingVirus4: 8/28/2015 3:17:15 AMGood shit all around. Glad that PvPers are getting their own Nightfall-style weekly challenge even though I don't really like PvP myself, hope the Vanguard have similar bounties. Pleasantly surprised the forums aren't exploding with posts that look something like "WTF BUNGIE WHY WON'T NIGHTFALLS KICK PEOPLE TO ORBIT ANYMORE I'M QUITTING"

Not a big fan of the nightfall change...
Wiping no longer returns Fireteams to Orbit
...But that is what made nightfalls so special, that added difficulty made it fun and felt rewarding. Taking that out will make it feel like a normal strike.
