Exotic shards for exotic blueprints. They kept saying you'll need marks for them but it was pretty clear that the cost was like 5000 glimmer and a shard

I just rewatched the stream. The glimmer and shards are for the repurchasing of year 1 exotics. All year 2 purchases require 150 legendary marks. So again I ask Bungie what will shards be for? I don't see myself buying 160 damage exotics, but I guess who knows right?
