Hey Guardians
Looking to start using Bad Juju on my Sunsinger in pvp. Mainly for 6s and when I subject myself to iron banner >:(
I've been TLW/Sniper Sunsinger for a while now. But I want to get my pulse rifle game up before the new weapons patch and I think bad juju is kind of a dark horse to be one of the new crucible kings.
Any skilled bad juju users have some tips and advice? Like what special weapon you pair with, how you engage, etc.
Keep in mind I'm a pretty skilled pvper (top 3000 k+a/d on my Sunsinger, top 1% kd on my hunter) so I'm really only looking to hear from people of similar or higher skill level. I'll definitely listen to people with worse stats if they sweat regularly juju (can it be done!?!?)

Within close range, prime your target with a firebolt grenade. It'll be that much less damage you'll need to put out with Bad Juju

6 RepliesEdited by Ice Lantern: 8/27/2015 7:36:56 PMThe problem with Bad Juju is that it has a relatively high TTK. Yes, you will get extra super energy from your kills but you're also going to be forfeiting kills because of the low damage. With it being a high-RoF pulse rifle, you're gonna have to play at shorter distances. High TTK + shorter distance engagements are not a good combo in the current meta. I'm not saying you can't do well with it but you are putting yourself at a disadvantage by using it. I also don't see it being a top end weapon after 2.0 drops. I just don't see how it gets better than Hopscotch Pilgrim after 2.0 unless low-RoF pulse rifles get nerfed similar to the nerf low-RoF AR's got the last rebalancing.

Here's a tip
dont use it
Get your strafe on. Love this gun when I'm firing on all cylinders.

Wreck nubs

Bad juju is only good when you get kills so you have to catch someone off guard
-
Practice those headshots buy getting familiar with how the gun handles. It's a descent gun in average hands but it straight up melts if you get headshots.

Out of boredom, I started using Bad Juju in Trials about 3 weeks ago. It's really good but the only thing I would say is don't get too excited about having more supers from it. Maybe a little faster but I guess the 10-15 kills we get in an average Trials match are just not enough to make a big difference on your super timer.

Point at the other team. Pull trigger.
-
Tips, break that sh!t down and use Red Death. The only good thing about it is if you match it with a Warlock for Nova Bomb city.
-
Make sure you use Send It to max your range and you can win almost any ranged fight. If your fighting close up make sure your using the full auto and aim for their chest/neck and use the barrel climb to get head shots

3 RepliesTip. Use Oversoul edict instead.
-
Don't use perfect balance just use smart drift control and send it. Send it actually increases aim assist so it will get easier headshots and range is almost as important as stability in crucible
-
Sounds like you won't have much of a problem
-
Aim around the neck/torso at medium range, or the bullets might go over your opponents head.

Edited by Beaver Lord: 8/27/2015 4:49:52 PMAim for headshots, using the full auto perk can be good but I personally prefer triggering every burst. Bad juju is my main PvE and PvP since vanilla. It is very good at surprising unaware opponents because of the hign fire rate, quite useful for flanking tactics.

1 ReplyJuju used to be my number 1 PvP weapon. I used Perfect Balance on mine and I found it really easy to keep shots on the head at midrange. Just practice with it. It's great for flanking. I always used a sniper with it, but that's personal preference. I hate shotguns in PvP.
-
The more bullets you're sending down field the better! Usually I can get iron wrath fairly easily with it since assists count too.
-
I always use it when I am on the burning shrine map. if you go to the right of the sandy spawn and hold that area it outmatches any other gun
-
Aim at the things, hold trigger, profit. Not much to say really, it's my favourite gun in the game, use it in PVP and PVE, try not to reload after each succesful kill, use your super because you are going to permanently have one. I always have a shotgun secondary and heavy primary, but this is just preference not for synergy. It is massively fun to lay into a bunch of people on a control point without having to reload.

My stats are awful, but I'm good with Bad Juju. Pair it with whatever you're comfortable with, I'd personally recommend a Sniper, but whatever works for you. Stick to mid-long ranges, Bad Juju has a good range stat and based on map sizes you won't see much damage fall-off. Have your stats full Discipline (Int/Str whatever as long as Discipline is max / near max) as Grenades + 1 Burst kill. With aiming, shoot at their upper chest, the recoil will put you onto the head. It CAN two-burst, but it's not easy to do. The gaining super only makes a difference if you're using it offensively, which if you are, Shotgun is your friend.

2 RepliesSmart Drift Control and Send It on maps you can shoot enemies down range. Sub Send It for Perfect Balance on small maps. Have String of Curses unlocked for the extra damage after a kill.
-
2 RepliesWhile I'm no professional in the field of Destiny or Player vs Player activities... I'm sure you aim down your sights and shoot.
