Why are there so many Thorns and TLW?
Im actual curious about this. Been playing some Iron Banner and almost every match there are 7-9 thorns or last words. The rest is filled with massengers.

What i am curious about is why everyone is not bored with those already. I have been using both in the last 2 banners and really am bored with those weapons. So i looked for different weapons and found one by RNG. A legendary pulse rifle that i really like. It isnt as OP as the messenger ( i dont have that one btw but seen from friends footage how good it is) and it changes PvP for me.
It feels good changing weapons around from time to time and because of that, im not mad because of the upcoming nerf and balancing of all weapons.
[b]edit:[/b]just because alot think it i just want to explain it a bit more. I am not crying for a nerf. I have used those weapons in the past and have no problems with them. Its just that i personally got bored with how easy it is to get kills with them. That is why i changed my weapons. Im just curious to why other ppl arent changing.
A answer that i get alot is that you NEED to use them to be able to win. Come on guys, you can do better then that.
Every answer that is "its the last time that i can use them" i understand. Nothing wrong with that.

Sadly this is the meta we have currently soon as the balancing patch produces the next set of op/glitched/just plain better guess a those will be all you see until then it's gonna be exotic HCs errywhere

should have seen me and a couple friends playing with Mida. its all about how you play. a lot of lone players will enter the Iron Banana solo so they only care about their performance for the most part. My friends and i love team shooting. It's stupid how may assist we all get but we destroy people and its almost completely anti meta how we play. Look at the last few inferno skirmish matches i played with them. A lot of people arent getting bored because using Thorn/TLW are the only way the can do well and have fun.

Because everyone inherently wants to win. They are hands down the best in the game. You also must fight fire with fire. It's that simple really.

Exotic Handcannons are simply most effective weapons available with auto, or even a pulse rifle you have to be out in the open and keep hitting your target, but with, say Thorn, you just need to stick your head out of cover, hit once and the damage is there already now add the ludicrous range and you have your expectation why so many use those

It's obvious. They are the most OP weapons and these guys want to win. I love Pvp but avoid iron banner like the plague. Having a ball in normal crucible this week.

1 ReplyBecause it's easy to kill with these weapons. They kill powerfully and fast. That's what a LOT of people like. 99% of the time it's because they suck without said weapons. Personally, I'm good with my Gheleon's in Banner.

3 RepliesIn IB power matters. So naturally folks are gonna bring their most OP build they can. I also run Thorn in IB's but usually to keep up with the Jones's. Regular Crucible I'm rather enjoying my Red Hand. Really looking forward to dusting off the Vanquisher after the patch too.

Yeah. I think majority of us can't wait for the 2.0 weapon tuning patch. I think a lot of us are fed up with the current mess it's in right now.
