9 orbs is the most you can produce from a single source (super), but its possible to produce more from that same super, but the "source" is technically varying. so yes, one can generate 9 orbs.

3 Replies9 orbs is the most you can generate with a single SUPER. Using Crest of Alpha Lupi. With a single press of LB + RB 9 is all you get. I think that was the intent of the OP's question.

Yes, I understand some are extra orbs because of equipment, but the whole game is about equipment. The other response I'm seeing is that some orbs come from ability perks. Surely ability perks are part of your ability so how can you discount them too? Some very arbitrary nonsensical lines being drawn here about which orbs count and which don't. Orbs are orbs.

Generated 10 once in VoG as an obsidian mind void walker, had a second nb at the ready.

Yes you can, [i]at once and on screen notifier.[/i] But the cap is 8 orbs, but with the Crest of Alpha Lupi or The Warlock Helmet you can Legitly generate 9 orbs at once with on screen notification. I personally main a titan. I equip Ruin wings, equip Gjallarhorn, pop a heavy synthesis, and activate the Harvester perk. I sit back, shoot enemies and spawn orbs galore. It's registers at 1 orb at a time but will notify for every orb. You can kill 10 enemies and have all ten orbs spawn but each will register as 1 orb on screen 10 times. Then everyone goes "whao dude, look at all those orbs" or "omg you just drop orbs." It gives a chance for everyone to use their super and spawn some themselves for you. I find confluxes in Vault of Glass I generate the most when Legions spawn.

9 RepliesAlright since I've seen wild claims of 12 orbs, 17 orbs, 22 orbs, whatever... I would like to see any one of you post a video here that shows "So and So has generated 10 orbs" or more at one time. 9 is the maximum amount of orbs you can create at one time.

Yes Also warlocks can generate 13 with 1 super :)

We were playing a nightfall and a sun singer use his super to gen orbs but nothing happened even though he killed about 20 enemies. He lagged out and when he joined back orbs were flowing from him like a fountain. Only some of them could be used though the others just sat there glitched.

Edit: To those who say I'm lying. I'm not. Idk how I did it or why it happened. I will say it was probably a glitch though, because it showed as 2 sets of 8 that showed up at the same time, and not 1 line of 16. (But there were 16 orbs on the ground)

Yes - alpha lupi and 3 shot golden gun on the hive majors near spawn at cosmodrone. Did it last night.
