Yes. I left to become a consultant for a lot more money. As someone told me, he never saw someone leave a lousy job and end up in a worse place. I was talking with someone that hated her job and boss and told her to find a better one because if she didn't, a year from now she would have spent a year suffering and be in exactly the same place. She got a better job which was a much better work environment and also paid more.
