1 ReplyI think we keep seeing this because similar looking items are one single model being accessed, so they are using it to save on memory. Like how images and elements on web pages work. You just need one image, and then you can tell it where to show up - only this is with 3d models. So they aren't including the shape for that, they are putting the Starfire protocol shape on you and just telling its texture to be new. Provided I am correct: They could have at least added some other referenced elements to make it less obvious. Add some buckles or different shoulder pads or something. I imagine a solution to this is for them to invest in more server memory and to make the program more stable on the console end so it can handle more information than it currently can. That is under the presumption that they didn't do it to simply cut corners and design a cheap product from the onset. Regardless, if this is the case - the company should be vocal about it.

I guess it's a little annoying, but I quite like the look of the Rainments. This may be me trying to fill in the cracks, but perhaps both SP and AR share the same base design, rather then one being a reskin of another. For example, similarities can be drawn between most of the Warlock chest pieces. Personally, I really like the new design for the exotics. Sure I'd have liked to have a completely unique chest piece, but all things, there's a lot more shit you could be annoyed about.

11 RepliesHave you seen that video showing that TTK is just a reskin of vanilla destiny? I mean, it's kinda obvious. The Vision of Confluence looks exactly like that Dead Orbit scout. They both have bullets and magazines. And sights to look down. Terrible.

Yes they use the same padding on the robe, but that's not the focus, the star fire uses yellows and dark blue grays while the alchemist uses neon teals, blues and purples on an almost pitch black robe Not even mentioning functionality over fashion.

They basically creat a template for the program to follow then the program takes over. Not every gear is going to be hand crafted by Bungie. Some if not most gear are just random creations from the program. EXPECT SIMILARITIES
