let me ask you this. would you still be wanting to use the same weapons you used at level 29/30, when you reach level 40? or when destiny 2 comes out? did you ever hear anyone who played WOW bitch/cry/whine when after they had tier 1 armor, WOW made tear 2-9 armor after each expansion. making tier 1 armor obsolete? that's the nature of these online/mmo'ish/shared world shooter type games. as the game progresses, so does the armor and weapons. and they aren't taking anything away or making anything obsolete, they just aren't moving most guns into year 2. do you actually think they will not have anything better in year two to replace the guns they aren't carrying over to year 2? that would be franchise suicide for bungie. and i would like to think they aren't that stupid

But if you carry over exotics, you still have what 7? slots you have to fill with other legendaries. I think that's fair. That being said, I'm still ok with how they're doing it

I'd be one of those ppl, granted I wasn't listening very carefully. I hope that's the case, but hard to take their word for much when they're so ambiguous & unwilling to explain things

Edited by Tyr-Thanatos: 8/25/2015 5:31:40 PMim of the opinion that there will be better exotics than year one, just going by history of games of this nature. sure, i usually got attached to a few things from the first year of those games. but always found something better in the squeals to those games. like for example in TTK case, the new exotic rail gun that you have to find the 50 pieces of that gun scattered all over the place in order to get it. that exotic looks awesome

Very true my friend. That chain lightning AR that lets you float in the air is something I really really want to pair with bones of eao. It'll all be interesting to see

WoW got transmogrification. Fixed the obsoleting old gear issue for those just interested in the aesthetics.

Exactly. I'd definitely keep 50% of the weapons and armors aesthetics that I had from 1-20. Sad when a lvl 7 green looks better than an endgame piece

Tengu operant ftw Best looking warlock armor and it's the drop from the phogoth level 12 strike. It only works with default/no shader though. I still have a set, you know, just in case transmog ever happens.
