Does anyone else get pissed off at people who run through half of the strike or 80% of the strike without killing enemies? Happened today every strike ran through more than half of the strike without killing stuff why though? I find it so frustrating and angry then I joined a strike and the other two were up at phogoth and nothing had been killed. Anyone else get pissed off or just me its happening more now I hate it. Is it so hard to kill enemies and enjoy the strike not skip half of it wtf ???

There should be solo strikes for antisocial people. Let them race through while people who enjoy a team effort can take their time. I also get tired of having to bail them out when they get whacked and need reviving.

1 ReplyI've done over 800 strikes and, from my experience, you get more rewards by running through as many as possible in as little time as possible than you do from painstakingly killing every enemy in a strike and taking an age to finish them. People who want to kill enemies for engrams or for bounties should do that shit on patrol.

2 RepliesEdited by Eddmario: 8/28/2015 1:29:36 AMIt's even worse in the Cerberus Vae III strike on Mars. People don't even go do the scan you're SUPPOSED to do at the beginning. They just run right to where the commanders spawn without killing any of the enemies, so the one person (aka me) who actually DOES the scan has to deal with an entire room of pissed off Cabal...
-
Pft, yeah I hate those kind of people... It's not like I do that or anything...
-
No, you play your way and they play their way. I just kill all the ads and move on.

I play strikes for the end rewards or being bored in general. I speed run any strike when I run for rewards but I don't rely on my team to do everything. In phogoth I would hurry to open the door by killing everyone then run past every other enemy to phogoth. If it is skip- able I skip it to kill time the less time the more strikes I do during that hour the more strikes the more end rewards I get it's how I grind for engrams. If I am by myself in the boss room with the rest of the team far behind it shouldn't be an issue for them I'm pretty sure I can't speed kill phogoth by myself. If I die in the dark zones and make us respawn it is my fault alone for not being careful but that rarely happens. Strikes for me is to do the objectives and skip the side ones if there's a witch between me and the target I won't stop to kill the witch it's waisting time and ammo. Now if I was skipping the door opening entirely, taking a shortcut to phogoth and waiting for my team to finish the scene and to spawn in the boss that would be a problem. Also pardon my wall

1 ReplyEdited by Kibeth: 8/27/2015 6:41:00 PMSorry, forgot you paid for my copy of Destiny. I'll make sure to conform to your playstyle.

1 ReplyNo, it's just you and about 3 other people that haven't figured out that speed running Strikes is the key to success.
-
7 RepliesI purposely kill myself when im near the boss to get people like you to be dragged up and kill the boss quicker 9/10 times it works like a charm
-
I feel the pain.
-
It's so boring to kill your way through. I haven't done half as many strikes as some people and I'm totally sick of them. I only do strikes when I absolutely have to and I spend as little time in them as physically possible.
-
More often than not people are just doing strikes to kill the boss and get rep/loot. When some are having to do 100+ for a certain gun, it's just wasting time killing everything. If the two others in a strike rush forward, follow along or leave, as you are the minority.
-
I don't like it either but, it leaves more enemies for me to get drops, increase grimiore, etc.
-
1 ReplyCough Mr. Fruit.

I love running. The game is a running simulator right?
-
I find it anoying as -blam!- when people dont rush through them!! Just go kill the enemys you have to at the check point and get on with the strike as fast as you can so you can get more drops at the end of the day
-
1 ReplyI try to stay with my group but I prefer to actually play the games and kill the aliens. I often wonder why people play strikes when they apparently don't like them as the skip half or more of every strike. If you don't like a part of the game or find it boring why are you playing it. Your not being paid and there's not a gun to your head. You don't have to play if it's not fun.
-
Dont sweat it, it tends to happen alot after the 1000th time you kill a strike boss. Theres no real achievement or incentive to stick around blasting low level adds as a 34. Skip it and move on, nothing new to see

1 ReplyWhy wouldn't I run through strikes? The majority of XP is gained via the bonus at the end, vanguard marks are only awarded at the end, and most of the engrams gotten from running dragons/rocs/tigers are obtained at the end screen. There's no benefit to not running through strikes well over 80% of the time.
-
1 ReplyYeah, if running strikes was the intent, then Destiny would have given us a timer or a time limit. KILL THEM ALL!! We are guardians, not track and field kids! We battle minions of the dark, not seconds of time!
-
2 Repliesi personally think bungie should do a separate strike list for those players who think Destiny is a running game it could feature all the same strikes , just without any enemies . that way all the players who enjoy it as a 1st person shooter will get put together and all the runners out there can do their thing .

Different people find fun in different aspects of the game. For some it's killing enemies, for some it's chasing that elusive item. For those that are in it for the chase they are going to do the activities as fast as possible
-
If I'm just leveling up gear through related bounties then I'll run through. If I'm glimmer or engram farming then I'll kill everything.
-
The boss kill is the only one that matters. If you want to boost your XP by clearing out low-level adds, go to Patrol. Steamrolling level 6 Acolytes is almost as helpful as the guy that's AFK back at the spawn point.
-
You know when they run on ahead with out killing enemies.....does that stop you from killing enemies??? They will get to the boss quicker, kill it, you ALL get your loot roll then its onto the next strike. Why you cry?
-
Well when you gotta do a strike 80 times to get the damn gun you want you better be damn straight imma run through that bitch. Believe me. I'd run through it by myself if i could lol
