It's kind of interesting to see the side of business and development.
I also in a way feel sorry for Bungie, at first I thought it was bad when they were exposed for the environment working with Microsoft, now activision is their next roof.
Honestly the old story sounds really crazy interesting too.
Well, I liked how the insight was given with the business side of things.

4 RepliesJoe Stanton and others left Bungie because they saw the writing on the wall. Joe went to meetings, heard the Activision "vision" for Destiny, and knew what the future was for his game. A future of cut content, P2P servers, and multiple micro-transactions. When he left, he took his game and vision with him. You could see that vision in the E3 Halo 5 gameplay reveal. Those few minutes of gameplay showed: 1). Spartan Locke using a scanner, similar to a Ghost. 2). Locke performing a basic Titan Fist of Havok/Shoulder Charge move. Heck, even the name; Halo 5 Guardians! You think Joe was rubbing Bungies face in it?

1 ReplyIs this another Dobbins video? Don't even want to click on it and listen to people pull fan fiction out their ass.

5 RepliesNope. Just clicked it. Lol. Look at his sources. He's using Reddit and this site as a source? Some random person is believable? Tell you what. I'll make a thread on Reddit tonight claiming insider knowledge. Let me show you how easy it is. Obviously something happened to Destiny's original story, among other things. But we don't know what happened. And probably never will.

Plot twist. We are in the alternate Universe where we don't worship Bungie... I mean the Traveler

"Theory and speculation," just like he says in the video.

2 RepliesNo even business side of things a game developer/ book author/ screan write will rewrite there story 3 or 4 times before it is even announced to the public, so how does bungie changing the story from its "original" form change that how is that a bad thing, you have the story you have shut up (not intended at the op) and quit trying to make a company look bad for not going with the story line you liked.

I get so sick of this bullshit... I really do

1 Replythe alternative game sounds so much more amazing.... wish we could have seen this version

I've suspected a storyline similar to this. I had a hunch that the enemies in Destiny weren't actually the army of the "Darkness" but rather the Traveler itself had brought about the Darkness to these different races. That their civilizations were upended by the Traveler, that they became warlike and desperate, and that this undoing was the actual "Darkness". That they came here hunting the Traveler either for revenge or out of the belief that the Traveler had abandoned them and could set things right again. It's confirmed that the Fallen had previous contact with the Traveler, and now they're reduced to piracy and are on the verge of extinction. So pretty easy to assume that the other races had interacted with the Traveler too.

Meh, the traveler being evil feels a lil cliché. How about hes a sort of Dr. Frankenstein mixed with missionary good will. He helps, mucks something up, then leaves. Only on earth, he had no where left to run, so he makes a final stand. take it from there forums!
