Edited by Azreal80: 8/25/2015 1:01:46 AMStrange. Cause this guys post found him saying it again regarding the TTK content
For everyone saying that's invalid because it was said a year ago. He recently said it again in this TTK preview. http://youtu.be/9cNIu0fMtMg We want to respect the players time...they should have something to show for it..

Stupid me. I thought this was a new mission statement. A objective for the future. It would apply to future content in Destiny 1. A concept that would last longer then 3 months. But now we see that those 3 month old exotics from PoE and House of wolves are different. They are garbage now. Trash. That only applied to Dark below !!! Now for the House of Wolves and Taken King Bungie wants us :
“To look at your favorite gun or helmet and decide that it had become obsolete. "
It's next year when DLC 2 year two comes out that :
Since the reveal, we’ve read a lot of ideas for how this could have been done better. Your feedback is clear: The time you have invested in your stuff should be respected.”
And Bungie will offer a new infusion of commendation Etheric mote mark that will take all old exotics from year 1 and year 2 and bring them up to new levels ......for the price of the new Cabal War Machine DLC (coming January 12 2016). Can't wait. Looks like we have been played! #saveourexotics
Year 2 = MMO type expansion
-
MMO type expansion = nothing unique. Zero creativity. Why be different? Might as well play WoW. Might as well play COD for that matter if it's a reset every year.
-
What is WoW? Workout world?
-
World of Warcraft. It's the fanboy excuse for why destiny resets every year now....cause that's what WoW does so it must be the norm. lol
-
World of Warcraft is too much of a MMO to relate to this game. Destiny shouldn't belong in the category of MMOs.
-
MMO type expansion = nothing unique. Zero creativity. Why be different? Might as well play WoW. Might as well play COD for that matter if it's a reset every year.
Might as well play WoW (which is the most popular MMO on the planet) or CoD (one of the most popular fps games on the planet)? I could think of no reason why Destiny (an fps with mmorpg elements) would want to emulate either of those games.
-
I could actually. Maybe to be unique? Be something different? Maybe not follow the herd? Both games may be popular but guess what? All my friends stopped playing WoW loooong ago. All my friends gave up on COD after BO2. I know people still play both. Just saying that they got boring. Destiny was supposed to be the answer to that. Instead they followed in the same footsteps as both.
-
But you also know people who still play WoW and cod. You also probably know people who will go back to wow when the new expansion is released. People say they won't play again but then they do. That's what makes an addicting game, when people stop playing a game, but always come back at a time.
-
I don't actually. Most won't touch a cod title and I literally know no one who will invest time in WoW ever again.
-
Shrugs
-
Yet they're still bringing some oldies up. And of the ones brought up, aren't even the endgame weapons that we "Became Legend" for. Their choices are arbitrary, and don't make a lick of sense.
-
When all exotics have the option to be the same damage (365) it puts them on the same playing field as year 1 weapons. As for their choosing process I do not know. I don't see thorn (the pvp tyrant) or Gally (the pve tyrant) on the list probably due to their stapleness in the game. TLW is there I'm guessing due to 2.0 they think it will still be a good gun, but not a staple.
-
You must be a child because your reasoning is on par with one.
-
Why do you thinks it's OK to quote something out of turn?
-
The quote isn't referring to just the dark below, he's discussing a practice. You are set upon the dark below because the quote occurred around that time because it was the first instance of the problem. DeeJ was discussing the practice being wrong. It was to be taken for the life of the game. Reading skills. Get some.
-
The whole article is about the TDB, why do you assume he was talking about the future beyond and not the Dlc in itself? Context clues buddy, context clues.
-
http://youtu.be/9cNIu0fMtMg How bout this one where he talks about respecting players time and that they should have something to show for it. This was a preview of TTK w DeeJ. A year later, the same promises....
-
I've skipped this whole argument. People do not realize this is the same as a mmo expansion. Year 2 is an expansion mind set.
-
Inferences buddy, inferences. Your brain must be pathetically compartmentalized. In your logic anything ever written about must only be referring to the state of reality at the present to which it is written, nothing can refer to anything that moves or can continue in the timeline even the incorporeal like "ideas" or "practices." Seriously, dude. It's Monday and I really don't have the energy to teach you basic crap. Lol as far as trolling goes? Well done. But next time be a little more humorous.
