So why is being gay unnatural and not right? Explain why it is or isn't.
I am gay myself and don't understand why there is backlash and discrimination against gay people in society, the work place, ect. Explain why it is or isn't okay to do. Go on, sic em.
Edit 1: "I was made gay by the devil putting thoughts in my head but I overcame it and am now straight" dude lol, you're so dumb. This has nothing to do with a religion most people don't believe in. I don't believe in the devil, so what's my excuse. There is no devil so what happened to me?

Not to say they're all capable of having an emotional attachment/relationship with people of the same sex, but I believe as far as sex goes... Most people are, to some degree, bisexual. I've seen it all too often, straight men, or atleast men that identify as straight, more than happy to touch or be touched, by another man, so long as it's a mutually discrete platonic situation. I'm a fairly feminine looking and acting guy, long hair, all that jazz. And I've had plenty straight guy friends of mine get into some pretty awkward situations with me, for them anyway. Gonna say, in general, human sexuality is fluid. I highly doubt the majority of people that identify as completely gay, or completely straight, are indeed 100% either. The right level of a masculine or feminine look depending on physical prefernces... matched with a good and compatible personality? My guess is, anything goes. So yeah, natural. - As I've said in other comments, as far as the actual relationship aspect of homosexuality though, I'd say someone that leans strongly towards emotional bonds with members of the same sex, are probably that way due mainly to some kind of natural order of population control, as a few scientific studies on animals have suggested. Would certainly make sense that humans are subject to the same deal.

It's not. In fact, traditional Christian theology does not even recognize homosexuality or the underlying concept of orientation itself. Rather sexuality is defined by actions. Actions of a homosexual nature like intercourse between gay people is condemned, though being homosexual itself is not condemned. Blessed Seraphim Rose was gay though he became a monastic and is now regarded as a literal saint in many Orthodox circles. You may be surprised to know that the ancient canons punish adultery--when someone cheats on their spouse--worse than they punish homosexuals for engaging in homosexual fornication.

It is natural because people don't have a chance over their sexuality or gender identification, and can't be changed. Love is love, and whatever causes it it irrelevant.

The common argument is that human beings are like any other animal, and fornicate solely for the purpose of procreation; however, one could counter that with the idea that we have advanced beyond such a need. After all, we face greater "issues" than endangerment. As a matter of fact, we are currently on the opposite end of extinction. We, as a species, are overpopulating the Earth to the point where we are exhausting a year's worth of resources in eight months (http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2015/aug/12/humans-have-already-used-up-2015s-supply-of-earths-resources-analysis). We should be more concerned with those who are heterosexual and reproducing at an exponential rate than with homosexuals. Their existence may mean an increase in cases of AIDs and Hepatitis B, but then again, heterosexuals can transmit the same diseases just as easily. It will take a lot of time and research to further understand the concept of love, so at this point, it's safe to say we cannot judge.

6 RepliesI don't see it as being "not right" but I think it actually is unnatural, as I think I remember something about it being in part of too much of a hormone. And even if that's not the case, it's still technically not natural because of the vast majority of society being straight.

It's a tad bit incorrect to say that homosexuality is unnatural because as far as we know, everything in our universe is a part of nature. When Christians argue against homosexuality, saying that it is unnatural, then they should look to their god. If he is supposedly outside the universe, therefor outside of nature, then by their standard god is unnatural and bad.

8 RepliesScientifically: humanity is an animal, and like all other animals we need to eat, sleep, drink, and reproduce. homosexuality removes the ability to reproduce, and thus would arguably be a genetic flaw that needs to be weeded out. Religiously: according to the teachings of the christian, jewish, and I believe muslim god, homosexuality is a sin. no idea what other religion's views on the matter are.
