After extensive research, i have comprised a list of good and bad things in the new DLC PROS -more story/better storytelling mechanics -revamps: some old strikes will be redesigned with new enemies -taken: behave completely different from your average enemies, and might make for a challenging fight! -new exotics: 347 Vesta. nuff said. -upgrading old exotics: it might be expensive, but an updated Suros Regime sounds pretty awesome to me -new subclasses: probably the absolute BEST thing about TTK in my opinion -new weapon archetypes: more sidearms (hopefully better programmed), heavy fusion rifles, and SWOOOOOOORDS -ghost shells and shaders: now for everyone! -pledge allegiance: now you don't have to wear a faction's class item to earn reputation! -new bounties and patrols: because even knuckleduster gets boring after a while -new ships and possible ship battles?: we know theres new ships, but could there be a ship battle against the Dreadnaught as well? -different light mechanics: not sure if its a pro or con, but its something worth noting -MERCY RULE: unbalanced crucible matches will now be ended automatically. no more one-sided fights! -new crucible gametypes: a little surprised theres only 3 new gamemodes, but they look pretty awesome nonetheless -all new guns: every gun appears to be 100% original now, instead of just reskins of old ones -new upgrades: radar resolution buffs, low-health speed boosts, you name it they have it -weapon manufacturers matter: each manufacturer now has their own set of guns AND armor! (100% confirmed about the armor) -ToO and IB are relevant: New Osiris and Iron Banner gear! -redesigned tower: not sure what this means, but im excited -new map location!: Rumor has it the Dreadnaught is gonna be as big as mars or venus, so we can do patrols and stuff there! -King of all raids: probably the longest, most difficult raid yet! -No more OP: lets face it. thorn, gjallarhorn, and icebreaker have been a LITTLE abused and are kind of game-breaking anyways. its refreshing to see them go IMO -NO MORE RNGESUS: RNG system is greatly improved so rewards are based on individual performance, and youre less likely to get the same item twice! -Gunsmith bounties!: earn ArmsDay purchases by testing out prototype guns for Banshee -Eris Morn is relevant again?: rumor has it Eris will have her own quest to discover a new weapon type... -EMBLEM CONSOLE: Emblems and Shaders will have their own SEPERATE vault. Whether this will give us more space for guns is unknown -gun and sparrow shaders?: now you really CAN personalize your guns CONS -no weapon ascension: if the new guns suck (which i highly doubt), this MAY cripple the franchise. What a gamble, bungie. -exotics left behind?: it appears guns like thorn, icebreaker, and gjallarhorn are being left in the dust -#becomeordinary: noobs and year1 players seem to be on equal levels at the start of TTK. I don't care tbh -cha-ching!: some people say this DLC is overpriced. Guess we wont know till we buy it, right? -#becomeirrelevant: VoG and everything HoW and TdB related seem to be completely useless now POTENTIAL PROBLEMS: Predicting what COULD go wrong with the new DLC, and the probability of each problem occurring (in my opinion) -New Thorn (5/10)- It is possible one of the new exotics is as incredibly OP as thorn, and may be abused before being nerfed to extinction -Not set in stone (8/10)- Like HoW and the 347 vesta, nothing here is 100% set in stone. things could change, and some content MAY be removed. sadly this is more likely than it should be -No fireteam finder (9/10)- this is more of an actual PROBLEM than a con. Not having this fireteam finder will make everything very inconvenient for people who don't have many friends on consoles -Lag lag LAG (5/10)- I don't know if bungie mentioned that they would try to fix console lag, so im gonna keep this at 5/10 EDIT: IF I MISSED ANYTHING PLEASE STATE IT IN THE COMMENTS EDIT 2: IM SO GLAD IM GETTING SO MUCH POSITIVE FEEDBACK!
