I remember how this went. Our gear was obsolete and new stuff kept coming out that overshadowed it. So we deleted the useless items to make room for more useful ones. And then the Etheric Light showed up. Well, I am not going to make that mistake twice. -I am keeping my gear forever. My Vanquisher, my vanilla New Monarchy armor, my trophies from the first Iron Banner, they're never going to be dismantled. I will use them proudly for as long as is conceivably possible, and then they will rest safely in my Vault until Bungie brings a second "Etheric Light" type of Ascension back. Because I'm betting they will. It might take a year, it might take 5. But one day, I think that they will once again be able to shine as they did in the beginning, and as they do now.
