I use aftermath because a lot of people seem to be idiots and walk right into it.....

Oh and in PvP use shockwave because no one really should be running into the aftermath thing on the ground even though sometimes people do

Shockwave is for the more skilled player and aftermath if for more zone controll, you will most likely get kills in zone maps with aftermath but shockwave requires more skill to use over in pvp and pve

1 ReplyAftermath for 6v6 gamemodes, shockwave for 3v3. Aftermath is better for zoning off players, and catching people who don't realize it's there. Super a zone, get a couple kills, someone tries to shotgun slide you? Stand on the other side of the aftermath and get a free kill. Shockwave is better for 3v3 because players don't group up as tightly, and because FoH is mostly a super shutdown in those game modes. It also extends the range so you can kill those pesky golden gunners in case they were standing farther back than you expected. Also, it means you can kill everything in a bubble without even going inside. I personally prefer shockwave, but aftermath can be just as useful.

I run Helm of Inmost Light + Shockwave. Works fine for me
-
Shockwave. It's pretty wide and can be hard to see sometimes.
-
Aftermath in general, Shockwave if you're running Inmost Light. Usually run Aftermath with Aftershocks to make it last longer.
-
Aftermath for control, number of times I've cleared a zone then been killed by a shot gunner who's then been killed by the aftermath. Trials, clash, PvE shockwave
-
Death from above m8
-
After math, good for post mortem kills and with lightning grenades, people just walk into them like there's no tomorrow
-
Shock wave does wonders and even grabs a couple of extra kills....but a well timed and well placed smash with aftershocks can turn the tide of battle rather well
-
Aftermath for objective games, shockwave for other pvp games. PVE? Your preference. I'd say aftermath though.
-
Shockwave because no ones gonna be dumb enough to stay in the aftershock and you can get people from an extended range

2 RepliesEdited by isetfires: 8/23/2015 5:22:25 PMAftershocks extends the time lightning grenades pulse in addition to your FOH ongoing damage field. Titans in PVP with Armanterium/Lightning grenades/Aftermath/Aftershocks are ridiculous, not to mention you will have your postmortem bounty complete in 1 match.
-
Both are situational, I use aftermath and get quite a few kills with it but, now and then if you're to far away and miss shockwave is for sure the way to go
-
Shockwave
-
I like putting aftermath on flag/heavy ammo. But still shockwave is better.
-
Shockwave for PvP. You could use either one for PvE.
-
I like shock wave only thing I wish it did was a circle wave outwards which if you were in close would kill you but a bit away would maybe damaged your shields. Aftermath I find good for pve but I don't get many kills in pvp with it
