I'm unpleasantly surprised that, after the third dlc drops, we still won't have a new, playable planet. I feel like they owe me the cost of the season pass, a raid and 3 new planets. I can see this game going one of two ways, at this point. Either good, complete games will drop soon, and absolutely kill it, or other devs will follow suit and gut their games out. We have to hope for option 1. If option 2 happens, it could kill console gaming. If good games did drop, and Bungie took a 40% sales drop, it would force Luke to get off his ass and actually create new content. This guy has been behind schedule and underwhelming since Crota. I'm not hoping it dies, just hoping for a wake up call of sorts. If we collectively didn't buy TtK, it would force them into actually developing new content.

4 RepliesOnce u stated that Bungie "owes you" you have lost all credibility... But for argument sake. Why get all emotional over "a new planet" Everything that woulda have come with a new planet (patrols, missions, story, strike, raid) are all going to be found in a new location in The Dreadnaught...a new planet, no...but a new location with the same offerings, yes..... Stop being all emotional over a video game.

1 ReplyI've got say, this is the only think that's getting me down about Destiny at the moment...would love to see some missions set on Titan, Europa or Pluto.
-
4 RepliesA giant "impenetrable" fortress with hidden puzzles and events that's in the middle of a giant war with the cabal.... and you would rather have another boring planet
-
2 RepliesYou need pretty many planets if bungie is going to make 5 destiny games and 5 dlcs per dlc .-.

7 RepliesEdited by ifirefly22: 8/24/2015 7:32:44 PMIt never ceases to amaze me how needy this community is
-
Edited by Coyote_x_Starrk: 8/24/2015 8:17:22 PMI agree for the most part, but to be fair its a new planet sized area.
-
1 ReplyCash cow. Nothing like adding content to content already avbl. People are still gonna waste money on this. And it only sets up the future of Destiny For the same bullshit.
-
While not technically a planet the Dreadnaught is a new playable area and so is Phobos
-
4 RepliesSo what was the deal with Saturn in the trailer?
-
Console gaming will not die because of them gutting their games because more and more dev's are realising they can get a way with it because people will buy it either way
-
4 RepliesYou can't just go creating planets! No one has that power!
-
Well we have missions on one of Mars' moons. And I think we may get a mission on Mercury and/or one of Saturn's moons too. Oh and also a new patrol, so there's that new area, though not specifically a new planet
-
3 Replieswe. get. a. blam-ing. new. patrol. and a raid they say it is longer harder and need more teamplay than any other
-
And mission or missions on Phobos
-
12 RepliesWe Get A New Patrol On The Dreadnought Like wtf do you want
-
5 RepliesYou idiots do realize you can do research before buying a game, right? If you don't trust Bungie with your money, don't pre-order.
-
We have dreadnought which sounds alot cooler than any planet they can give us
-
we only have the dreadnought that is as big as current planet(if not bigger)

Either good, complete games will drop soon, and absolutely kill it
We have seen nearly TWELVE months of threads saying XYZ will kill Destiny. It is still here.
If option 2 happens, it could kill console gaming
Episodic content or MMO-light aren't new concepts anymore. They're used quite frequently. Regardless of how you deliver content it still boils down to having a fun experience. If you don't have fun you move on regardless of what is cut or not cut.
If we collectively didn't buy TtK, it would force them into actually developing new content.
The first 12 months of Destiny have been fun but flawed. The world has been re-calibrated according to feedback and analysis. Whilst this isn't new content it does take quite a bit of effort to do this. It isn't like a fuse box, for example, where you flick a combo of switches until everything works. TTK, potentially, appears to be more like the Destiny everyone wanted in the beginning. Is it right that it has taken a year to get here? Hard to say. There seems to be a decent amount of new content coming including a new locations, new strikes and a new raid. Whether this is enough to keep people engaged on the next episode of Destiny is read is hard to say. This is a major crossroads for this game. No-one is 'locked' into a season and feels obliged to return to see what they paid for. There is a mistaken concept that content=value, this couldn't be further from the truth. You could develop a 500 hour RPG and no-one gets beyond 10 hours because it is awful. You could also create a 1 hour game that wows people. Content is only part of the value proposition, fun and enjoyment is equally as important. Repetition is acceptable as long as it doesn't bore you. If TTK delivers, people will slap their cash down for season pass 2, if it doesn't then you will see a desertion of players. It all comes to down to a question that has a different answer for each of us. Am I having fun with Destiny? If you are, great long may it continue. If you aren't, it may be time to look elsewhere and we wish you well.
