No. Bungie has said millions of times that matchmaking will never be coming to raids in destiny. Their reason being they don't want to match you up with 5 kids who have never run it before.

If people don't want to use the feature they won't have to. That's why I said 'optional' matchmaking. I take you point about the kids though...
