Why do people hate cod so much ?
Like I've been playing the beta with my friends we buy every cod game and really enjoy it and I love the story, zombies, and always multiplayer so I can't seem to understand what's so terrible about it it's definitely the best fps ever made

Well the community is toxic and it's not that people think the game is bad it's actually pretty fun. People just don't want to buy the same thing every year it got boring.

I have played every call of duty game beginning to end including call of duty 2 and call of duty 2: big red 1 (I know slightly confusing but whatever) Except for AW I will not play bo3 I just don't like them anymore I don't hate, hate takes energy which CoD is not worth.

They mostly hate the unbalanced multiplayer, the toxic community, and the fact that it rakes in so much money despite the small amount of effort put into the development of each game. [spoiler]I personally enjoy playing Call of Duty.[/spoiler]

3 RepliesNo, just no. CoD 4 was the best FPS ever made. Judging by when you say "me and my friends" assuming you are of the younger generation so maybe you didn't experience this. CoD 2 even was phenomenal. The series lately has gone to shit. And yes it has, you could argue any point but looking at past additions to the series. The downhill slope is real. If I could only play 1 console game for the rest of my gaming life, it would be cod 4 hands down. Maybe one of the most "balanced" (if anyone played this opposed to the others you know what I mean) ones ever. The story was solid, but every single call of duty AFTER has had the same story. Just different people, you always have your traitor, the stealth mission where you try not to get caught, the o shit shoot everything one. Blah blah blah. Mw2 I think personally was the final nail in the coffin, a lot of others say BO1 or ghosts killed it. Mainly because now it's just who can get this killstreak and win. Cod4 was nothing like that whatsoever. Everyone had the same stuff, and the 1 helicopter you could get could be shot down easily. The series lately is what sucks, and by lately I mean the last 4-6 years. The old ones were the prime. Plain and simple.

20 year old engine, 200ms delay between shots fired and damage received on lan (bf4 has less delay while playing online) maps flow poorly making a cluster-blam!- that raises the k/d of everybody overall cuz free kills, received one burst of damage as if i only got shot once, etc.

Activision just tries way too hard, I wish they would go back to the WAW sort of game, ever since Black Ops came out they have really taken a plummet down hill, now they are trying to copy from other games

It was the OG Fanbase of autism. But now every game has more than its fair share of self absorbed middle class children, so it just gets criticism for being an average game that sells faster than Toilet Paper near a Mexican Restaurant

The more fans and popularity a game gets, the more haters it gets too. It comes with the territory.

I played CoD then I heard about an old game called battlefront it was made a long time ago but it's still better than CoD graphics and all.

The only worth CoD has for me is Zombies Everything else might as well not exist Plus it makes the current PvP meta in Destiny look like Halo 2

For me, it's just too much of an arcade game that never changes. Went to Battlefield, and never looked back.

To me, it feels the gameplay hasn't changed much at all. As well as the ever shortening campaign.
